Hi there 2" !

I was kidding . Haha .

Anyway , PMR brings back so many memories when I think of it .
You can read through both of my PMR threads with loads of information ( there are some unnecessary chatters as well but it is completely normal tongue.gif ) and you can actually read , from my posts that I was a bit worried back then .

Turns out , after all the effort I got straight A's for PMR 2011 . A memorable event for me , although PMR is nothing compared to other examinations .

If you have any questions regarding PMR , please , do PM me and I will try to answer all your questions . Don't fret over it , just relax and study consistently ( at least a couple of hours each day , including holidays and weekends ) . You'll do just fine .

By the way , here are both of the threads : http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1691225&hl=

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2060234&hl= [ v2 ]

Hope you'll continue to manage your own thread and not abandon it .

All the best !

Sigh ... Kids these days .

Gaming probably ?

Anyway PMR starts quite late this year compared with the previous year . It will start on the 11th of Oct .

I don't see any need for the "sigh" here. A 15yo kid who does something else irl instead of spamming LYN is fine by me.

You mean gaming , FB , etc ? blush.gif
Discussing about education on the net is priceless .

Hmmm, your respond is fairly similar to that of a pessimist. After all, we can't eliminate the possibility of a 15yo doing something very contributive to his life.
*
I've had enough of this . You're not impressing anyone here . You're finding a way to cause an argument and then try to win it to regain your ego . Sorry , but no . Instead , try to give some advices to our juniors here . It'll benefit them for sure .

For Science , I would strongly discourage memorisation . Because you don't need to . If you memorise , there is a high probability that you'll forget them later after PMR , and hence , you'll have trouble in form 4 .

Understanding is a better choice .
And yes , TechnoG is right - make sure that you have a solid foundation for your Maths , since you'll be using all of the formulas/concepts/problem solving methods in Add Maths and Maths later on , like factorisation , expanding algebraic expressions, indices [ exponents ] , geometry , trigonometry , transformation , linear and simultaneous equations and so on .

Post some questions and we seniors will try to help .

We [ 2011 PMR candidates ] were the last batch to use the old literature components for both English and Bahasa Melayu . I'll have to tell you , some of them are quite mundane ... The worst part is that all of them were tragic novels . Most of them involved death , and not to forget our current form 4 novel [ Papa ] , which is also a polygamy and tragic novel . *facepalm*

Once you've registered for the subject , you are not encouraged to be absent on the day of the examination and get a TH on your result slip .

Curious but will I be able to see what subject I am actually gonna take. (like final confirmation etc.) before PMR?
*
You'll be given a confirmation entrance slip , like your result slip but only with the list of subjects .

Funny , I received my slip a few days before the actual SPM . Are you sure you're getting your real slip ?

I'm not sure , ask your teacher for confirmation .

The ans must only be 2 words? So "kerja sampingan" is enough for an answer?
*
Notice that you did not change "kerja" to a synonymous word , so you'll only get half the mark . You must change both words to get full marks , always remember that .

You can change the words to : Tugas sampingan

scribblez16 and maximR, so if I put just that 2 words means can get full marks? Is it a must to put "maksud kerja sambilan ialah tugas sampingan."?
*
No . Write in full sentences , not with mere words . Always remember that for BM and other languages , use full sentences .

(Y) Never revise or study Sejarah. 'Sejarah' the most effective insomniac's sleeping pill.
Or I'm just a Chinese who don't understand a shit the teacher blabbing about.

I only person who sleeps in Class was always me.  hmm.gif  and I'm in the 2nd Top Technical Class.

Berdasar petikan kata '<Place Word here>' bermaksud ialah <Place Definition here>.

The sooner you change that bad mindset of yours , the better your Sejarah marks . Tons of Chinese people get 100% for their Sejarah all the time . Race is not an issue dude .

Brush up on your Mathematics kiddos . It's really important . Have a strong and solid foundation of your Math , and then Form 4 Maths/Add Maths will be a breeze .

Always remember the rules pertaining to the angles in circles , like angle subtended on the same arc is always the same , etc .

Subtended simply means two lines from the two endpoints of an arc joining at a place and forms an angle . It's hard to explain but that's the best that I can do .

Oh , and your algebra skills are crucial too . Never slack when it comes to algebra .

Post only questions which you really think you can't do after trying for a number of times . We'll be glad to help .

Fuuuuuu Kerja Kursus PMR 2012 headaches.
*
Finish up your kerja kursus as early as you can , and then focus on your studies afterwards . By the way , I heard that starting from this year , English PMR has a new format : No more Literature component in paper 1 . And you guys have to answer questions based on poems in paper 2 . Good luck . smile.gif

but usually few days before the due date, the entire kerja kursus is up in the net. tongue.gif you can find it at most websites like scribd etc. I believe most of your classmates copy each others one right? then just jump in teh bandwagon..like what I always do in my previous years.
*
Yeah , I did mine and posted it on the net . Weeks later I came to know that the entire students in my school's kerja kursus were exactly the same as mine . tongue.gif
