GT2 = HD3000.
HD2000 only got 6 EU. My HD3000 can play PES2012 at High setting mostly 60fps all the time on normal camera. The graphic is not very beautiful though because lack AF and AA. You need kitserver to be able to set the details to high. |

QUOTE(xcen @ Feb 29 2012, 11:57 PM) Samsung Series 5 Ultra is only RM3k for 14" model. But question is... is it ULV model? I don't know how to see if it's ULV or not from the processor model number. Simple enough.. QUOTE • ULV processors Core ix-2xx7 (base 350MHz, Turbo 900-1000MHz) • LV processors Core ix-2xx5 (base 500MHz, Turbo 1000MHz) • Mainstream and high-end Dual und Quad-Core Core ix-2xx0 (base 650MHz, Turbo 1100-1200MHz) Sauce: Intel HD Graphics 3000 - Notebookcheck.net 5 Series using i5-2467M, so it is an ULV processor. |

QUOTE(shinz @ Mar 1 2012, 04:30 PM) I had MacBook air 10 years ago, it had good color and viewing angle. But I like windows. MBA debuted only 4 years ago right? Guess I will try dell again. How about lower end dell models, any idea FullHD lcd screen usually have better angle, gamut, contrast and color reproduction compare to your normal HD screen. Maybe you should find a demo set of N55SF and test the screen yourself. |

QUOTE(shinz @ Mar 1 2012, 04:56 PM) Ah.. then like TJ's recommended, Dell XPS 15 with FHD (1920x1080) B+RGLED display with TrueLife™. Compare to XPS 15z. QUOTE It's a pretty bright, beautiful picture on this particular screen, too, and though the contrast isn't quite as high as we'd like, Dell's software will automatically adjust the backlight to give you the best out of your blacks and whites. It's also quite glossy, unfortunately, and viewing angles are pretty terrible here, as the picture becomes far less vibrant if you shift your head even slightly to the left or right. QUOTE(Racerx @ Mar 3 2012, 11:50 PM) 1. Preferred Brand : Doesn't matter This U36SD?2. Budget : Less than RM3000,the cheaper the better 3. Usage : Normal University work plus some gaming [not a priority] 4. Preferred laptop/screen size : Must be as thin and light as possible Right now i'm thinking of getting the Asus U36SD with the i3 2330M but i can't seem to find it in pricelists,is it already phased out? The reason i'm aiming for the U36SD is because reviews say that it's light with excellent built quality and yet quite powerful.Are there any other laptops that fit this category?I've looked at the U46SV which is faster but notebookcheck says that the CPU throttles under heavy load.Is this true?Any other owners that can shed light on this? U36Sd-RX359v, i3-2330M + Nvidia GT520M@RM2299[1.66kg]; 8-cell battery, USB3.0 external OD, Asus optical mouse Or.. 5 series 530U, i5-2467M + AMD HD7550M + (16GB SSD + 1TB [5400rpm])@RM2999[1.84kg], 6GB |

QUOTE(aeppy @ Mar 9 2012, 02:45 PM) ya, whats the budget to acquire i3 then? If you can wait for AMD Trinity it probably will be a good low budget laptop for gaming since Trinity yield is pretty good so far unlike Llano. this b960 not so good compare to i3? gt610 on par with hd 3000? Added on March 9, 2012, 2:50 pm..and HD3000 is not good for Fifa12. This post has been edited by Acid_RuleZz: Mar 9 2012, 02:50 PM |

QUOTE(kyrmian @ Mar 10 2012, 12:17 AM) Oh thanks bro, sorry. 1. Preferred Brand - HP/Anything. 2. Budget - 3K 3. Usage - Gaming [FPS,MMORPG,RTS] anything! 4. Preferred laptop/screen size - 14 above will do, will probably use a monitor to extend. QUOTE 14" N45SL (Jay-Chou edition), i5-2450M + Nvidia GT635M@RM2899[Bang & Olufsen], 750GB (7200rpm), Color: White QUOTE 15.6" N55Sl-S2064v, i5-2450M + Nvidia GT635M + (1600x900)@RM2899[Bang & Olufsen], 4GB, 750GB(5400rpm) N55Sf-S1515v [black], i5-2450M + Nvidia GT555m (2GB) + 1920x1080@2899[Bang & Olufsen]; 750GB (7200rpm), USB3.0, Sonic Master subwoofer dv6-6c19TX, i7-2670QM + AMD HD7690M XT@RM3099[Beats], 4GB, 750GB (5400rpm) IdeaPad Y570, i5-2410M +Nvidia GT555M@RM2699[JBL] For a good all rounder, N55SF-S1515V is the best of all with 1080P screen while N55SL-S2064V fall short with 900P screen. GT635M and GT555M in Asus model is basically the same GPU. Although N55SF-S1515V was recently phased out, maybe some shop still have some stock for it. For raw performance, DV6-6C19TX is the best since it come with quad cores 2670QM and HD7690M XT which perform slightly better than GT555M/GT635M. In term of audio, N55/N45 has the best speaker between DV6 and Y570. It also come tin-can subwoofer by Sonic Master. If you're planning to use headphone/IEM most of the time, DV6 suit you better. It came with isolated onboard audio chip to reduce background noise/interference and when bundled with BeatsAudio software, feel good mang... I got nothing to say on Y570 other than it use the weakest GT555M, expect 5%-8% slower than GT555M in Asus notebook. |

QUOTE(aeppy @ Mar 10 2012, 10:07 PM) ya, was surveying this one, asus priced 1749 w/o os & just need to add 2gb/4gb more ram(which one better?) Gaming wise, HD6720G2 is better than GT610M but you need to be ready to learn few new things about running a Llano system and be patient. this one better than the amd a6, hd6720g2? btw, what brand u were suggesting priced just rm16xx? |

QUOTE(drakeria @ Mar 19 2012, 11:23 PM) Did you not read his post? QUOTE The Asus N45sf would offer the best performance for the price (should be around RM2.5k or lower since its EOL-ed already), N series would have better quality/ features as well... but you'll have to look hard for it... Other than that, only this: Asus A43Sa-VX083v, i5-2430M + AMD HD6730M@RM2499, 750GB (7200rpm) *The new Asus A43Sm with Nvidia GT630M is not exactly worth it because of the slower GPU performance and HDD.... |
