guys, need help....

Flashing recovery is very simple, all you need is root access on your phone, and adb on computer. You just copy downloaded recovery on internal sdcard. Then disconect phone from copmuter. Make sure that USB debugging is on. Now connect it again but don't connect phone memory (computer shouldn't see sdcard and internal memory in Windows explorer), open command prompt and got directory where adb is installed[SIZE=7].....
where is the directory??

i just simply key in adb shell in command prompt but is show adb is not recognize....

noob here....cham.... rclxub.gif

anyone care to share his experience with me?

SIMPLE GUIDE TO FLASH CWM RECOVERY TO YOUR PHONE IN 10 EASY STEPS
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it simple, let me create a zip file containing all the files you need to flash CWM using ADB.
i've attached it to the forum itself. just a tiny file.

lets begin now...
-------------------

1) unzip the adb.zip that i am sending you to the root of drive c:

2) it will have a folder "c:\adb" with the contents of the zip file

3) open start menu > run > type in "cmd"

4) it will appear as c:\users\yourusername

5) type in "cd.." and enter, twice

6) now you should be in c:\>

7) type in cd adb and you should be in c:\adb>

8) make sure usb debugging is ticked on your phone and connect it to the pc

9) you can either just flash the CWM recovery by just using Step B, or backup your original recovery first using Step A and then flash the CWM recovery using Step B

9) remember to type in each line and hit enter before you get to the next command

A) to backup your original samsung recovery to your sdcard with the name originalrecovery.img

adb shell
$su
#dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13 of=/sdcard/originalrecovery.img

B) to flash a custom recovery with the name custom_recovery.img

adb shell
$su
#dd if=/sdcard/custom_recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13

C) PROFIT !!!

notes
-------
* make sure it is in fact recovery that you are flashing to mmblk0p13, don't flash anything else

* recovery images are usually in .img format, don't try to flash a .zip file. extract it first to get the .img file

* backing up your original recovery is only an optional step

Erm... I heard some ACE Ex-user here said it's worth the upgrade. Better battery life and more smooth.

Spec wise,
bigger screen, higher resolution screen, bigger battery, faster and newer chipset(cpu and gpu), more RAM, 720p video recording,...,...,...

Cons,
Galaxy W tak ada Monyet Glass but fellow on youtube and lowyat tested the glass used on W is scratch resistant.

It comes ready in ICS I think. I read(ed) review on it and the 8mp cam is tagged the term 'sucks'. I'm looking into Huawei P1 S. Really make me drooooolingggg drool.gif drool.gif
4.3" Super AMOLED qHD, 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4460, SGX540 and the most important thing is... 6.68mm thick! Thinnest of all smartphone... drool.gif drool.gif

doh.gif Btw... I can't stand the camera quality of Galaxy W. Seems like smartphone nowadays have a long road to go to get to what Nokia is capable of. My nokia N82 camera pawns W camera with ease (of course, only in Still). That's a 4 years old tech against a 1 year old tech... Electronic shutter can't stand slight vibration while mechanical shutter used in Nokia(and Sony Ericsson phones) easily outperform them giving crisp sharp image.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

" Nandroid Browser has a really simple purpose: Extract and use single files from your nandroid backups.

* Browse your nandroid backups
* Save files anywhere
* Send files
* Open Files

Easily install single apps from your nandroid backups.
Easily email single apps and files from your nandroid backups or send them to your dropbox or wherever...

Currently supports nandroid backups stored as yaffs2 images (.img) as wells as ext4 images (.ext4.tar).

Should work with ClockWorkMod (CWM) backups and many others that use standard nandroid... "

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This tool is useful if you experiment with your rooted ROM like me, mess up the ROM and want to restore single files from your Nandroid backup created from CWM/RZR without having to restore the whole Nandroid backup.
