It depends on how you set it up, of course. I find FDs to be very smooth. Eliminators and ICs are chain drive pedals and this is a direct drive. Less power in the feel of the kick, but very smooth. Around 2k I think.

Hi there My church got our drum shield from Singapore. Cost a ton as well. Good news is, if you take care of it, it'll last forever.
What's the main reason you need the shields though? There are many alternatives depending on what you need it for.

I recommend that you save up and buy the Speed Cobras/Iron Cobras. If you intend to continue drumming for a long time, saving up to buy quality gear will be worth it. You'll be playing with great equipment, which will make it more fun and enjoyable (and comfortable) for you.
