hi guys, just went to music shop and bought myself a zoom Q2HD video recorder. I m quite impressed with the sound quality n ability to capture great dynamic ranges.  rclxms.gif

i was experimenting the different recording position and found this angle is the best. juz ignore my crappy playing, solo wasn't plan and juz trying play between loud and soft to test the dynamic ranges.

Nice controlled playing there. And your drums sound good too.

My First drum cover with Q2HD tongue.gif , playing one of my favorite funk drummer David Garibaldi's song from the tower of power.

I'm certainly not David Garibaldi however he has had a huge influence on my playing .

Guys, is there a solution to solve the loud sound from the drum? I love acoustic drums set I'm planning to get one soon on my birthday, any recommendation for a good intermediate level drum sets? My budget is around 5k, I don't mind used set as long as the condition is good and a great tone is important.

Buy a used pro drum set spend more on cymbals and change the drum heads. Get a teacher and a metronome and you are set biggrin.gif

Just wondering if you guys face this problem of being able to do double-stroke on one hand but not the other? I realize I can do it better on my left hand than on my right and it's really frustrating.

i was in ur shoes once biggrin.gif i knew about the tips of using pillow to practice, but never did it seriously. until i discover most of the songs i listen to are very fast and i can't catch up. so i started practicing rudiments, at that time double stroke is my weakness. hit on everything i can lay my fingers on. even on the steering wheel when driving. my target is to get use to double stroke biggrin.gif and now double stroke is not a problem anymore. i proceed to paradiddle. and still doing the same exercise biggrin.gif not a pro tip. but it works for me biggrin.gif

Pillow actually forces you to use your hand technique than to rely on the bounce...

This is some serious parkinson.

There may be a small problem with your basic double stroke. Look at the angle of your lefty and go mega slow. Record yourself playing slow and fast, analyze the height and angle of turning. Match it up with your right IF you have the right hand strokes done correctly.

Show us your video and we might be able to provide more feed back.

RIP Headphone Users.

Btw, I'm new here and I like drumming smile.gif
Sadly, I only have my one and only, air-drum set :/
Looking for the best price for the drumset below 2k and also, making less noise (if only I have a basement..)
