Also, i think a more important consideration is how serious you are in drumming. This is a loud and potentially expensive hobby. If you are serious about drumming you might want to think about upping your budget and getting an intermediate kit - something like the gretsch catalina maple, or the tama silverstar - both are very good kits and will last you a long time.

RM2000 could get you a basic kit, prob not enough for some decent cymbals though.

Indeed. Remember, that when you play with good gear, you'd tend to like it even more, and probably go further in what you want to do.
