brands war will never end one la ... just show result is the best prove. i am trying to achieve that but seems that day is still far for me to reach

Well, for me I would say that I take out a few pictures and show, no one will be able to tell for sure which pic came from which brand of cam...

But what I know is that I know of one Canon 5D mkII user that spent RM 1.7k to buy Pocket Wizard transmitter/receiver to get off camera flash ability, without taking into consideration the cost to buy the actual flash unit. For Rm 1.7k, Sony A77 users can buy one F58 plus one F42 flashes and get a 2 light wireless flash ability right out of the box! If that's not cost effective then I don't know what is.

I did mention, i won't comment further as it's pretty pointless (Maybe might try another brand this year )

eh but pocket wizard is in the league of its own la... sometimes, actually most of the times.. you would not wanna use the flash attached on your camera to trigger other flashes/studio lights...though you may argue that you can bend the flash light backwards to ensure unwanted light doesn't hit the subject...

porkchop : What you mean??? Sony flashes provide flash foot that you can screw onto many a lightstand/tripod/spigot. Just get umbrella holder that can hold a spigot or has a standard tripod screw. Mount your flash foot onto screw and voila! you're good to go.

shootkk, can fit meh the flash stand?? i tried but the screw on the stand mount is bigger worr, cannot fit in, maybe i need to research more...let me find them

Basically, the flash stand screw mount hole is having the same size as your camera tripod mount screw hole. So if it doesn't fit in one, it won't fit in the other. Typically a quarter inch (1/4") diameter screw is standard.
