nah, no need.
just walk-in -> take number -> be served by 2 options. 1-express service (b4 12/1pm) 4H service/2-normal service 3working days -> take the service receipt and go back.

by default, HP SC turnaround time is 3 working days unless there is no stock for parts or the issue is too abnormal that require additional time to monitor it.

btw, any1 would agree with me that just use the dv6 as rough as u can until it died by itself? eg. on for 24/7 (except for travelling), battery leave it be, doesnt give a dam to the heat when play HD games.
i mean from past experience with computer i used, it seems that computer that is turn on 24/7 will last longer for those that constantly shutdown and turn on when in use. just my 2cents on this
*
i did almost the same except that i put it to sleep everytime i go to sleep and class. but i do care bout the temp though. still working fine now, soon going to be 1 year anvesary and i hope it wont fail me in 2- years time. whistling.gif whistling.gif

Regarding the 9mm, it's the height of the HDD. There are 3 types of 2.5" HDD. For those who's changing from HDD to SSD, make sure you identify your HDD model name, and google it to get more information. If you're making your HDD as external, then only you go and buy an enclosure. I believe most of the 2.5" HDD is 7mm or 9mm, so no worries. smile.gif

As for my dv6-6108TX, it's Toshiba MK1059GSM. It's 12.5mm in height, so I have to buy a bigger enclosure. My personal opinion - larger capacity of HDD may be higher in terms of height. Acid can link this to first post so that the others can have this information.

1. HP CoolSense come with HP Support Assistant software and for BeatsAudio you just need to reinstall the driver.
2. What u meant by to reserve the file inside the hdd? I don't get it..

It was base on desktop Cape Verde but with much lower clock. I think it will perform better. You need to watch out about the heat though.. better wait for any review at the end of this month.
