bro use proper pulse readerlah; cellphone application has huge error tolerance.

Mine, the lowest read was 49 (more than once). obviously time to time it varies, generally around 56-60 as well.

The lowest I've ever recorded was when I was lying on my bed about to fall asleep. 36bpms. I thought I measured wrongly but I measured a few times again just to be sure and I was like wth! Other time like when I'm wide awake, it is always near to 50-55bpm.

The resting heart rate (HRrest) is a person's heart rate when they are at rest, that is lying down but awake, and not having recently exerted themselves. The typical resting heart rate in adults is 60-90 bpm,[2]with rates below 60 bpm referred to as bradycardia, and rates above 100 bpm referred to as tachycardia. Conditioned athletes often have resting heart rates below 60 bpm, with values of below 40 bpm not unheard of. For instance, cyclist Lance Armstrong has been known to have resting heart rates to as low as around 32 bpm, cyclist Miguel Indurain had a resting heart rate of 28 bpm.[3] The low pulse in conditioned athletes is due to hypertrophy of the cardiac muscles, therefore enabling a higher volume of blood being pumped at each beat (i.e. higher stroke volume).

Regular pulse = pressure medial to Radial artery for 15 seconds x 4 = HR/min.

no worries. normal heart rate can go up to 80bpm...
it does depend on age and gender though....

Resting heart rate has been universally accepted as an indicator of fitness. The pulse taken first thing in the morning, before U get outta bed, shud be taken as an indicator of Ur fitness level. A high resting pulse also warns U of signs of fatigue, that Ur body need more rest.

Before starting HBP med, 80+, after started med and exercise for a few months, 50+ when lying down, 61-65 when rested.

but doctor said the HBP med does not affect HR... which is strange.

In the 70s, previously the 80s, and I was quite concerned. But I looked up some information https://allthestuff.com/ideal-resting-heart-rate/ and on a few more other pages and learned that while there is an average normal, it would still depend on certain specific circumstances, like age, weight... so I try not to make a big deal out of it anymore so long as the doctor thinks it's okay.

Btw, how does it feel when your pulse going below 40 while resting? Any different from when your pulse was above 45? or just feels like normal.
