A little confused here... I thought that even though one did not get the flip case the first time around getting the Note, you can still claim it FOC later, correct? Why would one need to buy?

Anyway, I don't know if somebody mentioned this before but I find the original flip case has better recessed chamfer around the camera and flash holes which does not let the camera lens protrude out like the original backplate.

Yes, with original backcover, if without casing, the camera will touch on the surface u put your phone onto. my friend's black NOTE get minor scratch because of it....

how to disable ascending ringtone ??

Been using note for 2 weeks. And auto shutdown for 3 times, by it ownself. Any1 face something like this?

Oh I see, so it's different roots for different versions of software? Something like iOS' jailbreak. Meaning the root for Ice Cream Sandwich will only come out after the software launch?

does anyone try move all apps on 16gb micro sdhc card, and try to run the apps? mine is hang when i restart the note... and alwayz hang when using the some apps... when i move the apps to internal storage, the apps work fine..

Not all apps can be safely move to external SD card. Widgets cannot be move. System utilities not advisable to move. So just identify all those problematic apps and leave it as default

what widget you use to monitor your phone temperature and battery?

Check whether you have installed any 3rd party apps that is not official - using apk from other sources ( pirated cracked apps especially ). Sometimes a combination of such apps will give rise to auto reboot and auto shutdown
If you did not install such apps, do a factory reset and monitor. If it recur, probably due to faulty motherboard
Another possibility your ext sd card is faulty
