err... i enter the recovery mod in ICS but it blank.. Problem? I want to flash the new SU.

I can receive and sending mms without any problem. Maybe its because of your apn?
Are you manual updating to ics?

Any 1 here tried the Brainmaster's or NexusBeam rom?

guys,i have prob with screen light...its too low...i almost cant see anything...do u know how to fix this??

I will probably try Brainmaster's. His MIUI ROM is actually quite good, except the kernel that make my signal dropped and never recover.

Added on December 21, 2011, 12:53 pmyeap, it's a bug for this OTA on i9023. You will have to fastboot flash the CWM recovery to replace it, then you can use it to flash anything.

that the thing..at few days it works properly,but now its getting dimmer..im on OTA ics 4.0.3

Are you using the default APN? I have try to revert to default APN and it's still the same.

I've tested with Defy 2.3.7 side by side using the same Wifi. Speedtest, both getting around 3 Mb. Loading this forum, defy manage to load up faster with the whole page. Even when not finish loading , the images, I can scroll down viewing the text. On Nexus ICS, when I scroll down. it shows quite some white boxes. Even after the browser finish loading, I scroll down, it still show white boxes, takes a sec or two to show the text & image.

What I can see is the wifi signal on Nexus ICS is slightly lower. Even right near to the router, I get 3 and sometimes 4 bar where else on GB it maintain at full 4 bar. On Defy GB, it maintain full 4 bar.

Definitely the browser have lag compare to when on GB.

those white boxes is not due to lags, its due the new way the default browser is rendering the page, since honeycomb it has been like that.

Do you have any info on this? I manage to root on 2.3 but when upgraded to ICS the root is lost. Only bootloader still unlock. I manually update yesterday. ROM manager seems not working without SU.

edited: and yes i do agree with willbeh regarding our nexus S weak wifi signal reception. i notice it myself, the reception is damn weak comparing with my previous galaxy w, and xperia mini pro, it can barely reach MAX signal, even near the router.

It may be the new way the default browser is rendered. For user experience, I would call it lag. I just tested Galaxy Tab 10.1 side by side with Nexus S ICS. The experience is just feel slow (lag) on Nexus. On honeycomb, the page loads quite fast, could be the faster processor. Hope new updates for ICS can improve this.

yeah , maybe its due to the ability of the processor , on honeycomb tabs, you mainly only see these white boxes when u scroll extra fast

then maybe u can use opera mobile since it uses its own rendering engine, it should feel smoother

i think maybe anyone who get this bug doing something to their ns before update. i dont have the bug and i can get into recovery without any problem

already on nexus beam rom..
and already fix root permission...
and also the light...
