QUOTE(ghost_301 @ Dec 21 2011, 08:36 AM) Anyone with Nexus S Android 4.0.3 + Maxis able to send MMS? Seems like I can receive MMS but not sending, and I heard it's a bug in this ICS build. Anyone experience the same? I can receive and sending mms without any problem. Maybe its because of your apn?QUOTE(Shafique @ Dec 21 2011, 08:55 AM) Are you manual updating to ics? |

His MIUI ROM is actually quite good, except the kernel that make my signal dropped and never recover.Added on December 21, 2011, 12:52 pm QUOTE(radioburuk @ Dec 21 2011, 12:50 PM) guys,i have prob with screen light...its too low...i almost cant see anything...do u know how to fix this?? QUOTE(zuhaili87 @ Dec 21 2011, 02:54 AM) haha! nice to see ur screenshots! I've tested with Defy 2.3.7 side by side using the same Wifi. Speedtest, both getting around 3 Mb. Loading this forum, defy manage to load up faster with the whole page. Even when not finish loading , the images, I can scroll down viewing the text. On Nexus ICS, when I scroll down. it shows quite some white boxes. Even after the browser finish loading, I scroll down, it still show white boxes, takes a sec or two to show the text & image. yeap, that guy said he's browser lag in ICS, i think i get now what he means by showing "white boxes". because somehow current browser using different method of rendering the page, so if ur net is farking slow, it will show up "white boxes" at a long time, if ur net is damn fast, then it will straight away rendered whole page, i've tested running on desktop mode, when u zoom in and zoom out, it will take some time to load the page thus it renders that so called "white boxes".. its no lag, just low net speed. What I can see is the wifi signal on Nexus ICS is slightly lower. Even right near to the router, I get 3 and sometimes 4 bar where else on GB it maintain at full 4 bar. On Defy GB, it maintain full 4 bar. Definitely the browser have lag compare to when on GB. |

those white boxes is not due to lags, its due the new way the default browser is rendering the page, since honeycomb it has been like that.

Do you have any info on this? I manage to root on 2.3 but when upgraded to ICS the root is lost. Only bootloader still unlock. I manually update yesterday. ROM manager seems not working without SU. |

It may be the new way the default browser is rendered. For user experience, I would call it lag. I just tested Galaxy Tab 10.1 side by side with Nexus S ICS. The experience is just feel slow (lag) on Nexus. On honeycomb, the page loads quite fast, could be the faster processor. Hope new updates for ICS can improve this. |

yeah , maybe its due to the ability of the processor , on honeycomb tabs, you mainly only see these white boxes when u scroll extra fast
then maybe u can use opera mobile since it uses its own rendering engine, it should feel smoother This post has been edited by mikeeeee: Dec 21 2011, 02:08 PM |
