those white boxes is not due to lags, its due the new way the default browser is rendering the page, since honeycomb it has been like that.

yeah , maybe its due to the ability of the processor , on honeycomb tabs, you mainly only see these white boxes when u scroll extra fast
then maybe u can use opera mobile since it uses its own rendering engine, it should feel smoother This post has been edited by mikeeeee: Dec 21 2011, 02:08 PM |

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Dec 30 2011, 11:56 PM) No no I'm not referring to the 100% charge, its just that the charge rate is really slow, 3 to 4 hours from 8% to 93% hahaI checked the charger rating, its only 0.7amp no wonder. But not an issue la just a bit not used to it |

QUOTE(spader @ Jan 1 2012, 07:34 PM) guys i'm experiencing weird issue with my nexus s 9023.. it is playing sound when i put it near my malaysian ic with the chip.. i put it near credit card nothing.. my phone is rooted ics.. anyone experienced this? is it the nfc chip acting weird? fix? That's not an issue, its just nfc working . The tag app is missing in ics , it was available in gingerbread. Reason why your ic works but CC doesn't its because your mykad may be the version with touch n go, our nfc can detect tng. |

what are the applications that you are having problem with ??
I find that ICS is really better on the battery compared to GB despite having higher stats for "Android OS" in battery usage. Running stock ICS with stock kernel here. So far pretty happy with the upgrade |

QUOTE(gwong @ Jan 5 2012, 04:51 PM) Guys, need more information on clockwork recovery and nandroid backup. 1) You don't need root to install clockworkmod recovery BUT u need to unlock your bootloader which will factory reset your phone including the built in SD card.I read that, to install this custom recovery I need to root my device and restore factory setting...is there any other way do install this recovery? where I dont need to restore factory setting? What is the different of clockwork recovery if compared to the stock recovery. And can anyone help to explain on nandroid backup? does it backup everything includes app? or just back up the previous version of firmware before I flash to a newer ROM. Hope that some sifus can help to explain more. Thanks. 2) Clockworkmod recovery is similar with stock recovery but offers more functionality such as mounting certain mount points, nandroid backup n restore, specific wipe for dalvik cache , cache or full wipes etc etc, and most importantly can flash custom ROMs 3) nandroid is similar Norton Ghost in PC world (dun know u familiar with that or not) . Basically it takes a snapshot (backup) of everything in your phone, including OS and apps. A frequent scenario where nandroid backup is useful is when u wanna try new ROM. So u make a nandroid backup, wipe your phone, flash new firmware then dun like it or its problematic, restore nandroid backup u made earlier, BAMM your phone back to how it was right at the point where u made the nandroid backup. |

or when u click the mic icon on keyboard, the voice text UI comes up right ?
Below the glowing red circle u can see English(US) or what ever that is default, click on it and a pop up screen will come up, choose "add or remove languages" , then choose from there lor similar like what bugeca suggested but can access straight from the dictation screen |

Aiya no need to worry so much la, use your phone the way u want to use it . Its meant to serve you not the other way around .
And let's say it does affect battery power storage capabilities in the long run, just get a replacement battery, its replaceable unlike some other design in the market |
