those white boxes is not due to lags, its due the new way the default browser is rendering the page, since honeycomb it has been like that.

yeah , maybe its due to the ability of the processor , on honeycomb tabs, you mainly only see these white boxes when u scroll extra fast

then maybe u can use opera mobile since it uses its own rendering engine, it should feel smoother

How long does it take to fully charge this phone? It seems like taking forever compared to my previous phones.

No no I'm not referring to the 100% charge, its just that the charge rate is really slow, 3 to 4 hours from 8% to 93% haha

That's not an issue, its just nfc working . The tag app is missing in ics , it was available in gingerbread. Reason why your ic works but CC doesn't its because your mykad may be the version with touch n go, our nfc can detect tng.

I find that ICS is really better on the battery compared to GB despite having higher stats for "Android OS" in battery usage.

Running stock ICS with stock kernel here. So far pretty happy with the upgrade

yeah its about the wifi channels regulatory for US ONLY. Europe regulatory allows channel 1-13 while Japan allows channel 1-14.

1) You don't need root to install clockworkmod recovery BUT u need to unlock your bootloader which will factory reset your phone including the built in SD card.

2) Clockworkmod recovery is similar with stock recovery but offers more functionality such as mounting certain mount points, nandroid backup n restore, specific wipe for dalvik cache , cache or full wipes etc etc, and most importantly can flash custom ROMs

3) nandroid is similar Norton Ghost in PC world (dun know u familiar with that or not) . Basically it takes a snapshot (backup) of everything in your phone, including OS and apps. A frequent scenario where nandroid backup is useful is when u wanna try new ROM. So u make a nandroid backup, wipe your phone, flash new firmware then dun like it or its problematic, restore nandroid backup u made earlier, BAMM your phone back to how it was right at the point where u made the nandroid backup.

Below the glowing red circle u can see English(US) or what ever that is default, click on it and a pop up screen will come up, choose "add or remove languages" , then choose from there lor

yeah, sometimes that happens but if you let it ring longer the name will show. But sometimes it will show it immediately like how its supposed to be.

Aiya no need to worry so much la, use your phone the way u want to use it . Its meant to serve you not the other way around .

And let's say it does affect battery power storage capabilities in the long run, just get a replacement battery, its replaceable unlike some other design in the market
