after reading a bit bout the OTA update, decided not to stay with stock. Getting the Brainmaster's one instead. Any other ICS roms that are stable that you guys can recommend?
For those who use Brainmaster's ICS what does this means? QUOTE Further Instructions: How about custom Kernel? How do i install that? Want to install GlaDOS 2.2 but there's 2 versions.App drawer is sluggish and has lags, not like the tweaked CM9 Trebuchet App drawer. Besides, the default heapsize is too big - 128 MB, for our device. I didn't change it, because I wanted to keep the ROM as stock as possible. I recommend to everyone to make use of the new settings for the Background apps: Settings > Developer options > Background process limit > At most 4 processes (Need to be set on every reboot!) Also don't forget to Force the GPU Rendering in the same Developer Options. QUOTE Download: BFS version http://www.multiupload.com/SS369B5V62 CFS version http://www.multiupload.com/MD5SY82YLY |

QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Dec 21 2011, 11:20 PM) Well, when there's better optimized roms out there, why not? Stock or not dies not matter to me. I just like the stock look of things. I don't like heavily modified roms. i see, i thought there is a problem with current ICS stock rom that's why google decide to pull it back. I wonder what's the real problem. |

Using for while day. Moderate use, from 8am till 11:30pm left 25% battery. On GB maybe can be around 30-40%. Besides that, looking ICS except stock browser.Gps is working, 3g need to reset network settings. Haven't test MMS. read some people having issue with that. |

I didn't have any problem on ICS so far, battery is better than GB, mms ok, wifi ok, network ok, 3G ok, gps ok, just one thing i'm not sure is CPU load, some says ICS loads CPU high, i dont know where to check it. apart from that everything works fine. Gps is working, 3g need to reset network settings. Haven't test MMS. read some people having issue with that. |

Anybody know shop that still seling Nexus S in Penang or Ipoh... Very hard to find shop selling this phone outside KL. Most of them telling this phone will only available only next year (they think I'm asking about Galaxy Nexus). In Garage Sales very hard to find serious seller.

QUOTE(Shafique @ Dec 21 2011, 01:31 PM) Do you have any info on this? I manage to root on 2.3 but when upgraded to ICS the root is lost. Only bootloader still unlock. I manually update yesterday. ROM manager seems not working without SU. The root will definitely lost after the update. So what you have to do is to fastboot flash the CWM recovery, then install SU, then you can use the ROM manager again. Added on December 21, 2011, 11:46 pm QUOTE(xzilem @ Dec 21 2011, 02:33 PM) i think maybe anyone who get this bug doing something to their ns before update. i dont have the bug and i can get into recovery without any problem Not too sure but for me it's not working. The stock recovery will just show me a dead android. But fastboot flash the CWM recovery make a sticky recovery, so no complaint, though now I feel like trying Nexus Beam since everyone say it's good.Just experienced a total signal loss and not recovered on my Maxis Nexus S and no dump file. Anyone experience this? This post has been edited by ghost_301: Dec 21 2011, 11:46 PM |
