Really? it was Kos who went AWOL for the goal.

We gave City a good fight. We were every bit as strong as City today and another day we could've gotten at least a draw.

I don't think we can fault any of the players today. Pity the only mistake we made today was duly punished.

Miquel was very good, to say he was a poor replacement is unjust. Djourou was caught out a few times but was decent overall.

This is whom I rate as the most hardworking gunners tonight:

1) Gervinho
2) Alex Song
3) Vermaelen
4) Scezesny
5) Koscielny

Most inneffective:

1) Djourou
2) Miguel
3) Chamakh
4) Arshavin

As a whole, I think the subs were mostly inneffective and doesn't bring any change in our gameplan. Sorry mr. wenger, you got your tactics off tonight. Kudos to our defence. Its amazing that with so many shots on target, we only conceeded one goal.

but still salute to Szczęsny ,

Vermy, good too..

We're pretty much on equalled terms with Man City, if not of playing like 10-men for that 70 mins with Walcott around. Seriously, all that penetration works were done by Gervinho. RVP already put inside the pocket by 3 defenders.

So sad to see arshavin plays like that. If this was 2years ago, he had at least scored 1-2 goals..our motm, gervinho. He is the attacking generator for us. too bad his effort didn't give us any return but a lost.

gervinho has been hands down brilliant signing for us. who is another splitting image of gervinho, Goetze? arsene should find one soon.

final post of tonight...

RAMSEY SHOULD HAVE SCORE IN THE 1ST HALF... nuff said... he's too afraid to just try his luck on his weaker foot... as usual, Ramsey is a safe box guy... i'm not saying he's bad, but this guy dun have killer instinct...

nites guys... wat eva it is, we did lost to a better team tonight, so heads up...

ps: very few Man City fans around anyway, so i dun expect y'all to be taunted badly tmr though tongue.gif

wait, arteta was the best player in the midfield for us. see how many tackles he did? ramsey's ridiculous, and song was subdued after his yellow card.

dream on... Gibbs will be back, so no replacement... by the time Gibbs also injured, transfer windows already closed, we were left wif Noobguel, and Dicjorou... Arshavin and Chamakh? AW will continue giving them chances until the day he retired... he's not gonna let ppl say he made a bad purchases... he's suppose to be the smart guy... no?

What about Santos? I think he's quite good. But clearly we need more attackers in January.

Kos might need to bear responsibility for mancity goal. But silva was too close to the goal, noone can really help but purely luck (as the ball bounced to silva after schzeny saved it).

I said he wasn't good replacement, simply because he wasn't confident enough. or he is not really ready yet.

If you think djourou was fine, let me ask you, how many bad pass he made and almost costs us? AFAIK, at least 2 simple passes.

lets be honest here, it could have 3-0 or more to mancity if not for aguero's many chance at shot and dont forget zabaleta's shot on the post. our defense is somewhat shabby when mancity was attacking, mancity really know what they were doing, they get one nil up, they hardened their defense up that it was impenetrable.
