After watching the battleship movie...I think Malaysia Navy should buy some destroyer ship. Frigate strong enough meh??

Admiral Kutnetsov is with Russian Black Sea Fleet..the one PRC refurbished is Admiral Kutnetsov-class carrier, the Varyag..

But from what I've learned, its quite difficult to have torpedo to explode directly several feet below the ship..

No need la, too expensive. better have more frigates and corvettes..

yup, it difficult but it inflict large amount of damage.
explode on the side of the ship is more than good enough.

We don't need destroyer, just get a bigger frigate like 5000 tonnes type. Current one we have is like having a kancil instead of camry.

probably can because the shell contain fuse or detonator. so the cwis just need to trigger the detonator

the thing is normal anti-ship missile would weight around less than half tonne.. while supergun would have a shell round
weight an excess of 7 tonne..
