QUOTE(atreyuangel @ Apr 17 2012, 01:38 AM) 1. the M4 what happen to steyr?2. Not yet buy, Rafale, Eurofighter, Gripen, Su-35, Mig-35, Superhornet are still in competing to sell to Malaysia 3. Yes that is the plan! need to find a good and lightweight enough as Borneo terrain is harsh! i hope rafale or su-35 mind me asking why must lightweight? |

QUOTE(atreyuangel @ Apr 17 2012, 02:01 AM) Stery is still use, but newer M4 is introduce, M4 is much more reliable ahh interesthing.because the terrain in Malaysia in not suitable for heavy tank movement! take a look at this picture ![]() even with teh Pendekar 50 tonne++ you can see how deep the tank is sinking and Borneo surface is much more harsh and maybe their movement will be restricted to only certain area instead of buying lighter tank why not increase surface area of wheel chain(the moving part) that would decrease the sinking right? |

tbh, i think malaysia should not invest in high end aircraft.
we should invest in mid range aircraft and buy in quantity. once we have minimum 200 aircraft than we shouuld buy expensive aircrafts |

QUOTE(yinchet @ Apr 18 2012, 11:58 AM) lolz. i agree that quality > quantitypatient lar. its not like we have huge amount of budget. we will be getting new fighter by 2015. A generation fighter is not just about airframe. but its about technology changes. there are many thing 3rd generation fighter can't do. detection range of the radar already overpower those 3rd generation. however when we only have less than 50 aircraft for combat we need quantity. can u imagine 6 aircraft(5/6th generation) going against 15-25(3rd generation) large number would demoralise. |

QUOTE(yinchet @ Apr 19 2012, 01:27 AM) it no longer just fighter to fighter. some budget aircraft have stealth installed. such ascurrently it is more to NCW. when detect that much fighter coming. ground defense can easily destroy those old fighter. btw if 5th generation against those 3rd generation fighter is overkill. kesian cannot detect those fighter at all die also dunno what happen. f35/what paf calls thunder? and 40% of air to air combat pilot use their eye see the surrounding. |

f35 is budget aircraft.
but to be honest i stll think malaysia should concentrate in quantity(which is decent enough like f35 or thunder) than high end quality. |

QUOTE(OlgaC4 @ May 7 2012, 12:03 AM) i choose AK47 or something that shoot 7.62 At least i am sure target is down on the sport when 7.62 stuck into it. 5.56 that ******* still can run and bleed to dead and you will loose confidence in the battlefield and you said to urself kena ke atau tak kena. Then you have doubt on the 5.56 and that will kill you. im sorry but this is not a game or movie. those things u mention only happens in fantasy. |
