Hi All, I am interested to get a Viewpad 10s to see how it matches against my Tab 10.1. Coz I am thinking of replacing my Tab 10.1 with a cheaper tablet.

Just wonder if anyone have tried these 2 devices and could help. Btw, I do alot of gaming and some surfing with my tablet. Hope to hear some feedback from Viewpad 10s users. Thanks in advance.

viewpad 10s is not for you coz some games are not supported.

i got 16gb microsd inside my viewpad but only used 2gb...coz limited application can be installed.

I used to have this problem as link2sd will not move all apps esp library files. best is partition sd card ext2 primary to link all apps by linking them yrself as link2sd will install location automatically unless u select the location.
caution as some apps will not work after linking.

i did that but still not enough memory...

sorry to hear that. that means you must have hundreds of games installed.

any idea how much for second hand of this unit (without 3g)..

already tried it this morning...many things arent working yet...usb host mode, Bluetooth, google play also FC. dunno about wifi stability (wake from sleep) coz havent got d time to test all...but at least it booted successfully on our viewpad . Plus...seems stable and smooth enuf for basic usage. IMO...its still in alpha version at best.

i bought one 2nd hand wifi only for rm300..now ppl selling 3g for 400-450 i think.

as for ICS 4.0.4...there's 2 version of it...one by corvus (Corvus Reborn) and d other by Scanno (VegaCream)...I tried corvus 1st...but market/play doesnt work...so i downloaded Vegacream and flashed it using CWM on top of corvus' rom...and guess what...market is fixed . Im still testing for any signs of bugs/problem...later will update.

coz i read both thread comments, still got some issues...

most importantly, i am using 3G when i am on the move..

it's always an adventure flashing this tablet with new rom...it has some kind of therapeutic effect. u should try it as well hehe!

well 3g doesnt work yet...i think it'll take a very long time to fix it coz d mods still havent done it in ICS 4.0.3. USB host mode is working...but BT and power menu still not fixed yet in vegacream. testing games, movies and music now...

actually how much difference is ics compared to honeyice chimera? I find ics 4.0.3 good enough eventhough its not the ultimate ics but of course there's never a perfect rom.

in terms of functionality/stability/compatibility....chimera updated won hands-down...it has everything working from 3g to stable wifi/sleep...d only problem i think is d fluidity of d rom...plus problem with poor mem management that makes chimera become sluggish over time and very poor with multitasking.

ICS is much better in terms of performance/fluidity/smoothness...multitasking is really good in ICS. Big problem is with connectivity (wifi reconnection, sleep prob, 3g and BT not working in 4.0.4) and also prob with jumpy tilt sensor. seems like movie players app with h/w plugin isnt supported in ICS...makes 720p mkv very slow (this includes mx player (only mp4 videos support h/w), vplayer and dice player...dunno about others). Playing mp3 while browsing also makes d sound jerky. but if u r a light user, like playing 2d games and browse internet and dont mind d wifi sleep bug...then ICS is d best for u. D fluid multitasking and browser with flash is the best compared to any other roms.

i have no problem playing 720p MKV using Dice Player on ICS 4.0.3. on MX yes there's issue though.
am downloading vegaCream 4.0.4..hopefully i will like it more that vegaICS 4.03

com doesnt recognise it... doesnt react to my tablet at all eventhough ive put it in recovery mode

cant install driver

now stuck on vegaics

did u try power up tablet then force close by long press and then the power and back button 2 sec sequence.
