QUOTE(memphis @ Jun 9 2006, 02:51 AM) soory noob here...just wanna ask..which opty is worth 2 buy? 144 or 146? rite now 144s are doing as well as 146s.coz the differences of price between them is nearly rm200 if u ask me, i wud go for a 144. reason to that is :- 1. its cheaper. 2. probally will hit the same clock speeds as a 146 [those new batches are a killer XD] these are just my 2 cents worth |

opty 146 will give u some extra bandwidth with multiplier x10 compare to opty 144(x9). But overall i think new batch opty 144 is more worth . Price/performance.

Got mine to hit 3.2ghz prime stable.
Will have to tweak for optimal ram settings later. ![]() |

QUOTE(ncool15 @ Jun 10 2006, 04:16 AM) Don't lie.The version of cpu-z you are using will only show 1.375 if you set more than 1.4v in bios,1.425 perhaps?Bingo! Huh? Why would I lie about it? It was set at 1.4v in bios. There is no point in lying about an overclock. It's either your chip can do it or it can't. Sheesh. I'm also using SLI-D with CAB1E 0614. Besides, if u think CPU-Z is misreporting it, let me know which voltage reader you are comfortable with and I will be happy to stuff the prime stable screen up your a*se to show you. 1.4v was for 3ghz. 1.45v for 3.12ghz. 1.595v (1.45*110%) for 3.2ghz.
Judging from the amt of vcore needed for 3.2ghz, the chip should be hitting its limit soon which my current cooling setup. |
