Anyone know how to activate Samsung e warranty?? I want to activate myself. Is it need to sms to Samsung?

2 weeks later not registered yet. Emailed them again and after some time they send the SMS to me (sigh).

e warranty is how long....i super blur ...so say 1 year warranty some say 2 years sme warranty .....I asking for S2....

Some SME set is 2 years.. some are 1 year.. Depends on which set you are buying.. You can ask ur dealer/seller how many years the warranty when buying the phone..

if it's me, i just bring the warranty card to the center and let them do the rest. they know juga tu somehow

Yup, you can also just bring the receipt (which has the serial number of the phone) to Samsung center for warranty claim..

Yea, actually inside the box still got a warranty card just inserted inside the plastic bag with the user guide and those CD kies....Authorized dealer will help customer to register their e-warranty to received incentive, for others dealer, i not sure how they help customer register e-warranty, as my shop got a shop code to help customer register the e-warranty as well...beside that, samsung will still accept receipt or the blue warranty card inside the plastic bag, normally i will give my customer to filled up the warranty card, and i help them to register the e-warranty....you cannot register yourself as u need the shop code and registered staff phone number help you to sent the e-warranty message...

YES. Possible. Just do this:

1) Photostat your receipt & warranty card (with dealer chop) on a piece of paper.
2) Write down:
ATTN: Samsung e-Warranty Team
Subject: e-Warranty registration
Your name, contact no and the IMEI NO of your phone.

2) Fax to the following number: 77117298

I received the SMS comfirm e-warranty in about 3 days. If you don't receive confirmation, can call Samsung Malaysia support to check whether they received your fax (check their contact no at Samsung's Malaysia website).

Remember to keep ur receipt for warranty claims.

PS: I bought my phone from DIGI.

DIGI don't help user's to register for the E-Warranty. But u can check with DIGI first. You can follow the steps provided my matrix.

I think when you buy the shop will stright register on spot for you .

From my experience i receive a sms confirming my warranty in 3 days .

And after 2 weeks they call me again to confirm it .

u cannot register e warranty yourself. if u wan u need to go back to the shop n complain to them. cause only them can register for u guys

For the benefits of those who wants to do their own e-warranty registration. VERY SIMPLE. Just call up Samsung helpline. They're very helpful.

I bought my device at Samsung Elite Partner, Ground Floor Low Yat Plaza. And they also did not register my e-warranty.

Most shop are making selling their priority with have poor after sales customer service support.

They don't bother to register e-warranty for us even on the day we buy our device they tell us to fill up our details on a small piece of paper.

Some shop even don't know they SHOP CODE so they cannot SMS to samsung.

I end up calling here 1800-88-9999 to inquire regarding e-warranty.

I called and the consultant says we can email the detail of our device to ewarranty.sme@samsung.com

Email them:
1. Your name:
2. Phone number/mobile phone number
3. Address
4. IMEI number of your device
5. Serial number of your device
6. Scanned receipt for proof of purchase. (So they can know what shop you bought it from & other details)

NOTE: Both IMEI no. and Serial no. you can retrieve by looking at the back of the device. For phones, take out the cover and battery then look at body of the phone.

Hope this help.

P/S: I just emailed my details and are waiting for Samsung to reply. Will alert you all once the registration via this method is successful and completed.

Other alternative: Follow the same step but instead of emailing them, fax them your details.

About the warranty, i try to register online at samsung msia site, but i cannot find the galaxy note model #..

I bought from Digi,Sunway Pyramid, they register for me straight away.

Maybe those shops don't reg for you so you can register it when you having problem with phone. Get longer warranty instead.

follow the steps suggested by micromaniaus, you might get your warranty period starts later than the purchase date

i emailed them almost 2 weeks after i purchased my Tab 7.7, and my warranty period starts from the day i emailed them instead of the purchased date..

not sure what will happen though if you delay the registration any further..

Bought my tab plus yesterday.. Today i discovered water mark on my screen.. Then samsung service centre said my phone is not registered. Need the proof of purchase.. i bought on 1st of Jan 2012...but the dealer no register for me on the same day..they register on 1st of Feb 2012..so my warranty is cover until 1st of Feb 2013 or 1st of Jan 2013 ?

Once they registered, you check using SMS lah. Most likely will cover until 31st Jan 2013 if registered on 1st Feb 2013.

which means the warranty depend on what time u register to SAMSUNG..but not refer or related with which day u buy ??

That was what I experienced. Faxed them my receipt some more which stated clearly I bought few months ago. But they use the date I register manually with them.

Yes benefits me. Why? I'm not complaining. I'm just answering your questions BTW, registering manually with Samsung requires the owner to fax the original receipt to them. I didn't fax to them for fun lah.
