QUOTE(Joker @ Jun 4 2012, 05:11 PM) How do u change the setup? in the BIOS? Or it is has to do with having a pair of same ram(capacity, speed, cas latency)? if im not mistken its cause one runs on 1600 .. and the other on 1333 .. so its not on dual i suppose. i shud change my ram to 1600 but i could be wrong ...

One of the techs told me that if you have a 1600MHz RAM & added in another 1333MHz RAM, both would use the slower RAMs speed so both would run at 1333MHz. That's why its better to install all the RAM the same speed.

I've already emailed Asus 4 weeks ago about this. & they asked me for the laptop's serial number which is kind of hard for me to give them as I haven't bought the laptop yet. Still have no idea what the stock RAM speed is but I hope its the 1600MHz one. Added on June 5, 2012, 10:27 amOK, according to the asus website, its 1600MHz. http://my.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Powerh...#specificationsBut better check as some shops also told me that the RAM is 1333MHz, which means they're either swapping out the RAM, or Asus website is wrong. Do not jump into decision thinking that "the faster I order, the faster it'll come". Instead wait a while, cause there will be shops selling it or a few resellers who may have ready stocks for it.

For work purposes adobe/cad softwares but now i'm wondering.. since there are 2 ram slots inside which is not really user accessible. Who's gonna open it up to insert the ram for me? And i'm gonna guess Asus will put the default ram in one of the non-accessible ram slots right? so basically, i have 1 non accessible slot for ram, and 2 accessible slots for ram am i right?
