The default is beneath keyboard..you get extra 2 empty slots
*
If that is the case, G55-S1095v comes with 4GB RAM, which means only 1 slot is used under the keyboard and 1 more slot left unused?

Which also means we can only upgrade to 12GB RAM (3x 4GB) or 20GB(2*8GB + 1*4GB)...

g55v got..

1x slot under keyboard

extra 2x slots under back panel

So means i am right? Total RAM can only go to 12GB if you slot in 3*4GB as u are not able to reach the 4th slot without dissemble the entire laptop(voiding the warranty in the process)?

its 1600

That is depending on countries. As far as I know for S1095V and IX044V is only equipped with 4G 1333 and 8G 1333.

Anyone(G55 owner/seller) can prove me wrong and give me a screenshot of their system using CPUID? I love to be proven wrong as I myself also hoping it is 1600 rolleyes.gif

Stock RAM, stock configurations, no upgrade, no overclock.

WOW!! It is really 1600! Cool. Thanks for the information. I was misinformed by several seller and owner. Now I can show them some prove thanks to you guys thumbup.gif

@yeahh, why yours showing single channel? It is because both rams is not on the same speed, latency, brand or the mobo does not support dual channel? Anyone?

Thanks biggrin.gif

But it seems S1095V also comes with 1600 as shown by the owner here.

Just wondering on @yeahh why it is not Dual Channel.

bcoz its a single setup?

mine shows dual , bcoz its 3x 4gb 1600

How do u change the setup? in the BIOS? Or it is has to do with having a pair of same ram(capacity, speed, cas latency)?

seal box still can swap out?

Look at @yeah and @fussylogic, both showing CPU-Z ID that their stock ram is hyundai and running at 1600.

I also heard shop telling me is 1333 but the prove is different...
