Me too. Just replug to solve it. Troublesome. Don't know the real solution though.

yep. mine from day 1 , i mean less then day1 ... first 4 hours!

Didnt happen with my g55, maybe your audio driver is corrupted.

Try to check ur VIA Audio software setting when u plugged in.
G53SX uses Realtek. So it will notify me when i plug something in to the specific jack port.

Yes, ur recovery dvd apparently failed. Do a fresh installation please.

If ur willing to troubleshoot, redownload the driver from asus website and reinstall it.

ok. now i also have that problem..it is a worldwide problem and also happens to the g75. due to the via hd driver

after further inspection, this laptop has 3 speakers(left,right,subwoofer) so when plugged in earphones, the left and right speakers off automatically...but the subwoofer sometimes dont off and thats where the sound is coming from when you plugged in earphones..

got 3 options for you:

1. just remove and plug the earphone again like what just kiing doing
2. disable subwoofer like what i did...this option solves the problem but no subwoofer
3. wait for the new via hd driver which is going to be released by asus soon.

jz now go my friend shop that i buy my G53SX v him b4...
he say asus approve the refund, money x sampai lagi...but he will give me the laptop that i choose now, n the money he will settle v supplier..
i choose G55 but no stock lol....
he recommend me RM32++ Toshiba P850 , Ivy bri, I7, 4gb 1600Mhz ram, but graphic only gt630m.... n he will terus refund the extra money for me~~
but i still stay v G55~~~~

Ya from what the dealer said but No free upgrade no discount... He offered another model Asus n56... But the graphic is geforce 630...

Worth..actually the g55 doesnt come with any upgrade..the upgrade is decided by the seller whether he want to give or not..but 3days is good..worth it
