Cooler i feel got difference, some games peak 82c, but running around 73-82, not constant 80+. Even considered repaste, but the system is still quite new, rather wait till it hit 90+c first. my finger can stand for 10 secs ! Lololol, must be dead skin, haha |

QUOTE(Kalist0 @ Dec 2 2011, 02:36 AM) Ok this is just stupid. Less than two weeks and my laptop cant even startup when i press the powerbutton. The keyboard lights up and then nothing happens. Whats left is the light on the top left 3 quickbuttons and the power button light. Nothing happens after that. Screen wont even show anything calm dude, just switch off it totally, unplug the power cable from the lappy and press the start button few times to discharge any electric in you lappy. then plug back power cable to your lappy, switch on the plug then power on your lappy: now it should boot normally. dude this happened few times with my G53SW, I thinks is normal maybe due to cold boot or something else. if forever unable to boot the you r done haha , warranty claim ASAP! |

I didnt use any special patches to it i c... ure on the 3d version rite?? u shud be able to play all the games out the at high to ultra settings at 1366x768 at stock clocks... since the stock core clock is quite high alredy.. 775mhz..the reason im asking is, the 258.62 driver made my stable OC unstable in crysis 2 n mafia 2.. screen flashed... clocks were reset to stock... my OC was rock solid on 280.26 ... can game for 2 hours straight wihtout crashing.. hopefully someone here can confirm this.. so now im back to 280.26... good thing abt 258.62 is that u get fps boost on certain games and battlefield 3 doenst crash// lol This post has been edited by trustmeiamlegit: Dec 2 2011, 05:53 PM |

What causes it is the magnetic sensor on the screen which tells the computer when the lid is closed or open...If I'm not mistaken.. What you will wanna do is, use a small, mild-strength magnet, and rub it at the spot to the right of your touchpad where it would touch the lid when it is close. Here is where you should do it » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Rub on it with magnet for around 20-30 seconds while power is off and everything unplugged.. Do at own risk and goodluck P.S: If this doesn't solve it, then the culprit is not the magnetic sensor |

Seems like sx also. But ive never encountered it . Touch wood. I'm more concerned abt the brokened power connector pin . Heard alot of stories regarding this on the g53sw over the asusrog forums . It will be a nitemare if that happens |

His issue wont be the power button ._. Coz it did turn on...
Probably the sensor got magnetized and thought the the lid was always closed, thus turning off the display This post has been edited by Bluzzy-: Dec 3 2011, 12:22 AM |
