Hey trustmeiamlegit, what are your temps during idle and full load? I was kinda worried about mine...

Idle the lowest i got with cooler is 40c, but usually around 50c

For gaming, some games peaks at 82C too, like BF2, MW3. ( Without cooler and without OC )

Mind sharing your OC numbers? You use Afterburner or the Nvidia tool?

I see Are you on any cooler? Planning to get the SF19, haha. My current cooler is made for 14" only ._.

The black metallic mesh on the right vent is super hot while gaming, haha, cant put my finger on it for more then 5 seconds

Cooler i feel got difference, some games peak 82c, but running around 73-82, not constant 80+. Even considered repaste, but the system is still quite new, rather wait till it hit 90+c first.

Noo, i dare not attempt overclocking from my current temp yet, lol. I think I got *30-60 fps on Advanced. I didnt use any special patches to it

I think I read something like this before. What causes it is the magnetic sensor on the screen which tells the computer when the lid is closed or open...

If I'm not mistaken.. What you will wanna do is, use a small, mild-strength magnet, and rub it at the spot to the right of your touchpad where it would touch the lid when it is close.

Here is where you should do it



Rub on it with magnet for around 20-30 seconds while power is off and everything unplugged.. Do at own risk and goodluck

P.S: If this doesn't solve it, then the culprit is not the magnetic sensor

His issue wont be the power button ._. Coz it did turn on...

Probably the sensor got magnetized and thought the the lid was always closed, thus turning off the display

I have 2 of those Corsair value RM70+ RAMs.. They install well, quite tricky to get them out of the package, dropped one of them from table height

I wonder where to get those lower latency DDR3 RAMs

Have you tried ThrottleStop ?

Its safe... My proc max at 85-86 like that

Wont permanent.. Just when needed, it will stay. Some games improved very much with ThrottleStop, like GTA IV

How fast?

You have to tick "Unlock Bidirectional PROCHOT" -> OK in Options, and click Turn On.. And BD PROCHOT should be unticked at the main page

I play Medium setting and Render Quality set to Highest, view and detail distance set to 70, very smooth with throttlestop. Without throttlestop, at turnings and small area start to lag 99

I update saja... Feels good to have everything up to date

But I didnt know after flashing it auto shuts down, gave me a scare..
