what does my phone number have to do with it?  i thought the IMEI code could get the device blacklisted so the thieves wont be able to pawn it and get money from it

I don't think Malaysia has this yet. Again, I might be wrong.

sweat.gif You shouldn't have done that. Some more 2 years already. doh.gif Which smart DiGi personnel recommended you this combo? doh.gif
Go for DG Smart Plan 68.
You pay for Internet and calls & SMS is on pay as you use basis. smile.gif
Blacklist? Er, you are not using back the same no. again?

oic..i was tinking if i get the Smart Plan 48, would it be enuf? I mean its considered unlimited, just that after 1gb data usage, the speed will b throttled.

I'm using Iphone 4 btw..usually 3G on whole day..would 1Gb be enuf? I dun monitor data usage as the my current RM68 data plan is unlimited. hmm.gif

Would the DG Smart Plan 48 be enuf to cover my data usage?

No, RM 68 is 3GB and not unlimited.
Smart Plan 48 might not be enough if you are a heavy user, you turn on your 3G but did you use it constantly for browsing?
Smart Plan 68 is also 3GB.
If I'm not wrong, DiGi will not implement throttling after exceeding the quota, nowadays your data plan will be suspended till the next cycle.

now they suspend?..because i did read from the FAQ and it is stated as throttled speed. but then again, they can decide to change anytime...bummer.. cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

so looks like there is not much choice tat i could have if i still make RM50 calls per month and want unlimited internet...in the end, it may still come up to my original subscription of RM50 for calls and RM68 for unlimited internet..now RM68 is for 3gb only...

The RM68 was quoted as unlimited, as it is subscribed last time...2 years ago..but i dunno if its limited to 3gb onot nowadays.. hmm.gif

oic.. hmm.gif it looks like i cant reli save much too..cos my call is around RM50 per month...and the data i originally think that i could cut RM20 by subscribing to RM48, but it seem tat 1gb mite just not b enuf (and risk being suspended once exceed limit), so best choice is to take RM68..so in the end, my phonebill still has a minimum of RM118 per month..back to square one.. sad.gif cry.gif

Call digi and they mentioned they forgot to charge this stamp duty during my activation.... WTF ?? How can they back charged something they forgot after 1 year? Anyone got this as well?

For DiGi® Easy Prepaid(RM16.80/pack), questions as follows:-

1) I presume monthly reload is RM16.80 per month?

2) Is there a service to keep the line without topping up every month? say we pay additional RM30(this amount will not be added to the credit) to keep the line for 1 year?

3) I understand that with Buddyz we can have free calls 24 hours a day for 3 Digi phone numbers. Is this correct?

4) When was this Buddyz introduced? 2010? 2011?

5) Generally is the line in Klang Valley good? No break-up in calls whereby you can't hear the person properly on the other line?

Any information would be appreciated.

1) RM16.80 is the simpack price, which comes with 5 days validity upon activation. After that the reloads available are basically:

RM10 - 10 days
RM30 - 30 days
RM50 - 50 days
RM100 - 120 days

Obviously reload RM100 is best to get the max validity for free calls, however you will only get 30 free sms (to all networks, even international) with RM50 or RM100 reload. RM10 and RM30 reload are better if you want to maximise the free sms.

2) No (that is only available on the other plan, called Best).

3) Yes, subject to DiGi's fair usage policy.

4) Easy plan was introduced around September 2010.

THanks for the information DGBoy. Much appreciated.

May I ask about the Digi Best plan, how much additional top-up is required to keep the line active, and how long is the period before a reload is required?

Thanks.

The reload validity is the same for Best plan as I quoted just now for Easy plan.

Plus, there is the option you mentioned of buying one year validity for RM30.

Press release from DiGi

Free Nano SIMs with any DG Smart Plan or DG Postpaid Plus Plan

Available in almost 250 DiGi outlets by early October 2012

SHAH ALAM, 24 September 2012 - DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi") is offering free Nano SIMs when customers sign up for any DG Smart Plan™ or DG Postpaid™ Plus, starting Wednesday, 26 September 2012.

Existing postpaid customers only need to pay RM20 for swapping their existing SIM to the Nano SIM. Customers can swap for new Nano SIMs or sign up for the respective plans above at selected DiGi outlets in the Klang Valley from 26 September. The Nano SIMs will be available in almost 250 DiGi outlets nationwide by early October 2012.

The size of SIM or Subscriber Identification Module has evolved over the years as the size and design of mobile devices changed. The first SIM card introduced was in the same size as a credit card. It was further reduced with the same thickness to a Mini SIM. It eventually evolved to the next version called the Micro SIM with dimensions of 15 mm x 12 mm. The Nano SIM was subsequently introduced in early 2012 with dimensions of 12.3 mm x 8.8 mm x 0.7 mm, which is 15% thinner than its predecessor. The Nano SIMs can be inserted into adaptors for use with devices that utilise Mini SIMs or Micro SIMs.

The full list of participating DiGi outlets nationwide will be published tomorrow (25 September).
