Digi have the ones that is 20gb with no separation between peak and offpeak. It is not availbale officially in their store but you can try searching for seller. It is legal based on my understanding since you still have to pay at their official store monthly. I think its the left over from some special promotion or something. Not sure

In term of peak usage, i ussually go slightly over or under the 12gb. Even as in currently, im sitting around 4 gb balance and waiting for a refresh on 28 every month. I dont watch video during peak. Maybe a short one but at the lowest quality
*
understood. then #2 would sit in between #1 and #4. DiGi's LTE is not bad though, I can still get decent speeds even I'm not at those peak zones.

#2 and #4 are good because there's no over reliance over one telco's data.
#1 is less so because if Maxis is not available there then you're only left with 1gb from Magic SIM.

so, I'd recommend #2 icon_rolleyes.gif given the amount of data, DiGi's not so decent but still usable data, and the pricing rclxms.gif

Hi,
I am just a light user. I don't make that many calls usually, less than RM30 per month. Thus, the SLL is perfect for me.  tongue.gif
Whereas for data, I only going to use it for Whatsapp only. Not going to use it for web surfing, youtube nor facebook.

So, what do you think is a better plan for me? Digi Best Prepaid or Tune Talk?  biggrin.gif
*
It depends on you.

DiGi: If you don't mind the slower basic internet, you can reload 100(gives you 120 days validity), on the 120th day apply for super long life. For the following years, rinse and repeat tongue.gif (100 - 38 = 62 so that you can use that for calls/sms throughout the year), then next year when your super long life is about to expire then reload another 30/100 then on the 30th or 120th day then do the same thing again rclxms.gif ). But of course, if you see that your credit is getting more, you can choose not to reload and just use the credit balance to go for SLL.

Min. Annual spending = RM38 + amount made on calls/sms

Tunetalk: If you want a faster internet, you can go for the weekly plan which costs RM2 for 100mb.

52 weeks x RM2 = RM104. However, since if you reload RM50 then you'll get extra RM20, so in the end it will be

Min. Annual spending = RM64(104 - 2 x 20) + amount made on calls/sms.

hi,

thank you so much for such a detail explanation. it seems digi is a better deal for me ...   tongue.gif

by the way, i think for tune talk, we still need to add the rm28 for one year validity, which will make the min. annual spending to rm92. am i right?    biggrin.gif
*
ah yes, agreed. an error on my part, haven't been sleeping much lately laugh.gif DiGi's basic internet is quite okay to be honest, because I can still receive whatsapp message quite fast(LTE around 1-2 seconds delay, 3g around 3 seconds), still much better compared to my friend using #hotlink laugh.gif

Can I change the ownership of the Digi number/account? The sim card was supposedly for me but registered under my mom's name as we're in a hurry at that moment.

Digi prepaid user btw.
*
yeah, just bring your mom along to any digi centre and tell them that you want to change account ownership

p/s: no charge btw, if you've subscribed to super long life, better go when your validity is near to expire, because I had super long life and doing that reset my validity to 1 month doh.gif

lyn had some hardware upgrade(ssd) a year ago+ or maybe two. I believe the 2.5k limit was set back in the time where the server is not that powerful and having threads with a lot of posts is heavy on the server causing it to crash.

ya... DiGi own's app is great... The blue and red also did not follow suits which I still feel they should have an app like what DiGi had...

apparently only Celcom doesn't have it. Hotlink and Maxis have their own respective app(Hotlink RED and MyMaxis App), while U Mobile have their own one too (My U Mobile)

I don't think so, I think that they would like to get a larger piece of the pie tongue.gif

For DiGi Smartplan 65, I don't think that the marketing team has done enough marketing while U Mobile has done a great job with their power prepaid, U28 and P70

1800mhz not for 3G also...

I hope they will utilize the spectrum for LTE... yeap, all of them
and giv up 2G ....
3G remain 2100mhz...

I don't think that 2g will be dead anytime soon unless mcmc declares that 2g will be abandoned and force telco to abandon it and develop 4g instead (which will take time as there are still a lot of legacy devices that are still 2g only)

Not with my mum at the moment so I asked her to dial *128*1*4# and she said it only displayed her phone number and expiry date.

From MyDiGi app and website, I can see her plan as "DG Prepaid Smart Plan V1".

Anyway I called up DiGi CS and they told me that this plan not eligible to redeem the freebie data. Only "Digi Smart Prepaid" is eligible. (Best V1 also eligible)

And they said she cannot change plans. Is that true?

if the code doesn't works after you've tried it, the only way would be to mnp out then mnp in laugh.gif

I called Digi CS again today and spoke to a different person. This one seems quite knowledgable and confirmed once again that "DG Prepaid Smart Plan V1" cannot change plans at all. Looks like will have to port-out and port-in if my mum wants to stay on DiGi.

DiGi CS told me it's a system limitation because "DG Prepaid Smart Plan V1" has no credit balance. When my mum reloads RM30, it's converted into 1GB, 60mins & 60 SMS. So I guess no credit balance, cannot change plan cause changing plans need to deduct RM3. Oh well. (It's actually not too bad a plan before Digi's free data promo)

My mum's reaction: "why so stupid one". LOL. Sigh... means more work for me cause now I have to do the port-out for her.
*
surprisingly, I remember that plan laugh.gif anyway, find a telco with 1 month/no lock in period and port out asap whistling.gif
