Partially wrong.
You don't need to have an account with them to get the Poslaju plastic. Poslaju called it as flyer. It has 3 size, Small Flyer, Medium Flyer & Large Flyer. It's for everyone, everyone can get it.
The guy / girl who doesnt want to give you the plastic is probably a hardass whose too lazy to take the plastic from their desk.

Just ask & they will provide. If they don't, call the manager in charge & tell them about it.
I've been dealing with Poslaju Shah Alam, Poslaju Kota Bharu, Poslaju Petaling Jaya, Poslaju Klang & none of them ever asked for an account number.

If you're a frequent shipper like me who post more than 5 items everyday, you may ask for a large amount of flyer & Poslaju form from them.
*
It seems some other forumers have problems getting flyers from them as well, with the same excuse of it being only available to those with accounts.

I haven't experience anything like that so far. The counter often give me more than enough flyers when I ask for it. smile.gif Then again, I go to the Poslaju office in Glenmarie almost every alternate day.
I find those at Poslaju counters in Post Offices (not Poslaju centers) tend to be more unfriendly and tend to not provide flyers or forms.

For TS, it's best you wrap your item in brown paper or newspaper. Poslaju centers will often put it into the appropriate flyer and do the rest for you. Just get the form and fill it up correctly then pass it to them. If you go to Poslaju center then no need to take number, if small post office then need to take number like everyone else. If big post office, sometimes they have a special Poslaju counter which you no need to take number and just queue up there.

Just bought some flyers (courier plastic bags) from the Pos Laju Centre, PJ.

It only costs RM0.10 per bag icon_rolleyes.gif
*
It costs money now? o.O
Did they say anything about the new charges? Used to be free then some people got the news that it was only for registered accounts but some others (me included) can still get it for free from Poslaju centers if we frequent them.

Hello there,

Does anyone know the measurements for Pos Laju flyers (the standard plastic package)? I only managed to find measurements for Pos Ekspres and some other packages on their site.
*
Small one is roughly 9" x 7"
Medium one is roughly 10" x 12"

Just got more flyers from Poslaju center with no extra charges. I guess some Poslaju outlets making money out of charging others for the flyers. -.-

hi all, i am new to post laju services, from what i read here, we can get the free plastic bags from pos laju and put the things inside and pos. May i know can i put clothes or accessories inside the plastic bags? and how is the charges for shipment between city? Please kindly help..
*
Not everyone can get the flyers (plastic bags) for free. It depends which poslaju center you go to.

If you're going to a Post Office to post out your item via Poslaju, then it's best you wrap it up in paper and envelop first. Even I use flyers, I still put my items into envelops first. The plastic flyer is very thin and have no protection at all, probably slightly waterproof only.

Basic charges between WM is RM5.95. If within same zone, sometimes it'll be cheaper, around RM4.80 or something I'm not sure.
From WM to EM will be more expensive, Sabah and Sarawak are different zone. Of course as your parcel weight increases, price will increase. Also take note that if the parcel size is very big, they may calculate using volumetric weight. I'm pretty sure you can get all the info from their website.

QUOTE(hackwire @ Jan 31 2012, 03:21 PM)
ok i saw some of you also encounter the same problem as mine but this is very unusual . everytime i request from the pos officer for the poslaju flyer or plastic, they always said "habis".

it's sound like not their f***ing problem.

go to other branches , same look, same shit and same "habis". WTF?????
(excuse the vulgar, free speech ,hehe)... bengang ne.

how many of you had the same problem like mine. drive out from home , find a car park, take number , request for plastic, responded habis, drive to find for box or envelope, go to pos office again, ask for cello tape and pack there.
*
I pack my items into envelops and seal them before putting it into flyers. I have tons of flyers and forms at home. Have you tried asking Poslaju Shah Alam? I've not had any problems with them in getting flyers or forms. Also have not been in such situation as yours before. smile.gif

I prefer to use flyers cause they have a pocket for me to put the form, so I won't mix up the parcels and the forms. Also it's seal proof and also slightly waterproof. In case of rain, don't need to scare the item gets soaked up easily.

Don't ask from Post Offices. Small post offices usually don't have much stocks and their staff aren't that friendly. Poslaju centers are usually very helpful and have lots of stocks for the flyers and forms. However, they might not give those to anybody who asks for it.

It seems to be differ according to branch.. Other branch, other stories.. Some say RM500 for online business, and some RM100, some say no need deposit that would be interesting but I don't know what branch.. Will register new account by Tuesday, will update backl..

I don't have any problem to print out according to the borders and etc, I already align it correctly to print out address and etc at the place.. I align it myself using Microdoft word, you can tell me if you want.. biggrin.gif Just havin a problem with their fanfold paper.. I'm using Panasonic Kx-P1121 Dot Matrix, need to "load park" everytime after one form printed.. Will show you the vid later..  biggrin.gif
*
The last time I ask last year, they did say need deposit of RM300 or RM500 like that. But they didn't say particularly for online business or what. But I don't see any significant benefits for me to register an account with them so I didn't proceed with it. Go register and update us. Would like to know too. smile.gif

Btw, Tuesday is still a public holiday no?

[Poslaju Account Holder ]
Wondering is there Medium Flyer as today I requested for Medium Flyer they said they do not have it , they only provides Small and Large Flyer ?.?
Confused @.@
I'm just wondering if Anyone have the same answer from them?
Thanks you to whoever that answer this smile.gif since I not getting any reply from care@pos.com.my ==
*
I have more than a handful of medium flyers with me here. Taken probably 1-2 months ago.
Could it be the particular center you went to ran out of medium flyers? Or maybe they stop production for medium flyers already, which I think is stupid cause it fits A4 document size ngam ngam. laugh.gif

Hello guys, may I know if PosLaju helps packing your item? Thanks.

You can wrap it in newspaper if you want, then ask for their flyers to put your item in.
They don't help to wrap.

Follow what electronicfly says. wink.gif
Important thing is to make sure water won't get in easily. Especially these days always rain.

Can someone explain this? Poslaju willing to deliver the item for 3 times ? And the receiver is staying at home for the 3 whole day, somemore they didn't leave any notes there.
*
This happens sometimes. Not often though.
Have had problems like this once when I was expecting to receive my parcel. Took them almost 3 days to deliver to my place. Within Selangor somemore.

If you ask me, they probably not doing their job right or lazy or something like that. Call them and complain, like what electronicfly said.

The online tracking system is really not very updated. You can check the first page for various links to track your parcel online.

It actually depends where the parcel was posted out. Was it a small post office or the main poslaju branch?
I post my items at Poslaju branch at the main post office near my house at 5.30pm (cut off time at 6pm) and it is always delivered on the next working day. But if I'm late, I can go to the Poslaju center cause their cut off time is around 7-8pm every day.

Best just call them and track for more accurate info.

depend on the poslaju centre... some are 2pm... some big centre can be anytime...  to be safe, before lunch time.

Yes, before lunch time definitely will be able to make it.
Smaller post office cut off time is around 2 or 3pm. Bigger post office around 4pm usually. Main post office is around 6pm. Poslaju centre is 7 or 8pm, depending what time they close.

Hi..

anyone know if poslaju will automatically do second delivery without first notification?

I never receive first notification and when I tracked back it was delivered (second delivery) to another fella and not me!

If anyone experience this before, can share how to handle this matter.  cry.gif

thanks
*
When they deliver, the person who sign off will have to give their full name and IC. Poslaju will have that person's IC and name.
Call up Poslaju, ask what happen and make a report with them to investigate.

Do you live alone? If not, check with someone in your house whether they sign off anything.

Thanks munkeyflo. I've lodged complaint to them (will take 3 working days for reply). No one at home receive it for me. It goes to some guy name - Ahmed, AE4195862. I've no idea who is that.

I've attached the tracking points. I think poslaju sent the first attempt to the wrong address as I never receive any notification.  sad.gif
*
Check with your sender whether it was the correct address or not. He/She should have the receipt and it should have the recipient address there. Try to find out who's at wrong here.

By right, the Ahmed guy shouldn't accept it. If the person claims that he doesn't know the recipient name on the form, then Poslaju will send it back to the sender.

Then again, we live in a society where people are greedy and can't be trusted. doh.gif

Thanks munkeyflo. It's a parcel from US, paid with paypal. My address was correct. Previously no problem but now...first time happened to me. If the sender sent to wrong address by any chance, can I request refund (paypal) from him? I'm still waiting his printscreen receipt (although in my invoice everything was correct)

Have to wait care@pos to reply me now...
*
I see. I thought it was a domestic parcel. Sorry.

I don't know about Paypal though, not very familiar with it.

I've had parcels sent from US to me via Poslaju before and if the invoice there has the right address then it should be correct. Anyway, it's best you call them up daily to chase them for an answer, they often take their own sweet time andden forget all about it after a while.
