Oh yeah, Karry, please come to the shop to collect your JLA pack for the 8pm session which you also participated in. I am not sure if we have the packs in or not, best check with Hong before coming over.

hi guys...i used to play Magic TG...stopped long ago hehehe
It was nice while it lasted, but now I have 'RM3000-5000' in cards hahaha actually closer to RM10 of cardboard. I gave most of my power and recent cards to another friend, and he in turn also lost interest. I think he sold my cards and kept the money.. bugger!! What i have left, every once in a spring cleaning while, i dust them off and see the collection. Any of you guys won a tourney before? My younger bro used my creations to win a few local tourneys...ah..the memories. |

The problem with MTG is it's getting more & more outrages in terms of pricing. Those rares are sooooo crazily over-priced it detters the interest. To top it off, there are some lcly players during tourney which incidentally are from Century Comics in old klang road. I'm a mature player who has been in & out of the MTG scene, recently I've just packed 2 huge boxes of cards into cold storage including countless decks, while dusting my complete collection of certain blocks into the cupboard. Guess I'm retired from MTG scene. Perhaps later when the group's interest is strong, I might come back.

The MTG scene here in Malaysia is strong same goes for VS Systems. Is just that there are not many HUGE tournament here in Malaysia. Compare to US and Singapore .... over here the MTG tourney really sux.
Recently I just started MTG back but I told myself it will be fun and some old cards came back into action but I decide to stick with VS Systems due to its regulars tourney and a big event happening soon, its the VS Systems Kuala Lumpur 10K tournament. Only us can bring up this 2 games into a stronger level of play. VS Systems is growing stronger every day. How about try to come for the Malaysia GameCon-1 that will be held in Midvalley on December 3-4, 2005. Its a convention on Trading Card Games, RPG, Board games, etc..etc. |

M'sia GameCon u say? Betcha I'll be there! Hopefully it's half of what it is in US then I'll be happy to attend otherwise, I'm outta here. As for VS system, perhaps I'll drop by Amcorp then someone can show me how this thing works maybe I can start something new to do.
As for MTG, u r absolutely right about the tourney in M'sia. It sux big time, gone are the creativity & fun. It's more like a duel of who has the best draw from their 'net-decks'. Copycats, can't come up with their own original winning decks. My last tourney I was dueling with a youngster who hasn't even past spm telling me that I should concede because he has a higher rating. yeah, sealed decks are my fav's too.
I'm never too interested in the big tourneys myself, due to the fact that many of these 'players' are extreme asses. I absolutely abhor those who split up my deck to reshuffle. what you call that? Friday night magic is the way to go, that's when i show them what is the power of a Black+White deck! |

Alrite, perhaps next Thur evening I'll drop by Amcorp around 8pm and someone can show this old noob here the mechanics of this VS system. I'm quite a big fan of Marvel superheroes back when I was still collecting comics.
As for MTG, I think sealed deck is the way to go as this levels the playing field. Most FNM's are dominated by copycat net-decks. Unless the organizer changes the rules a bit. It's so hard to find a group that enjoys other formats like 2headed giants, 3v3 or even FFA. This post has been edited by metalfire: Nov 18 2005, 09:27 AM |

Ahhh...same here too, retired after completed my collection of Mirrodin. So from Darksteel to current Ravnica & 9th Ed totally lost touch because the group's interest died out.

Mine used to be a control-psychatog deck. Basically I am a controller freak player last time. with mana in hand, bye bye all things and cast psychatog...and wins LOL ps: I still have some cards, all in an album for those rares and hard to find cards. Maybe one day I'll drop by Amcorp there This post has been edited by rukawa: Nov 18 2005, 12:01 PM |
