anyway, some pics of my new add for V9!!  F430 Super GT - technically, not a new add because this isn't the built-up model from Versus. It's actually a kit that I had to build it up myself. Yeah, V9!!! Wow, didn't know there was a white R8 GT. Was looking at Maisto catalouge.

aquila: transkit is like a bumper or hood that you can fit onto an existing base model i.e Novitec transkit that fits onto regular and Elite Ferraris. While kit like the one I showed doesn't require a base model. It's like a 1/18 Tamiya kit. |

aquila: I would assume there's no difference between resin and Tamiya kits because resin is plastic. But if you're comparing between TAMIYA and these aftermarket kits, then ofcourse the quality is way better from Tamiya.
These transkit are usually done by small companies but APM(Auto Place Model) is quite famous for doing kits like the Enzo GTC, Gemballa MIG and also Novitec's and Hamann's. They're not hard to find but not easy as well because alot of collectors like these kits as it will transform their "regular" diecast into something abit special and different. blu3hamm3r: Lol. wanted to take family picture but it was raining the whole day yesterday. Lol. But I currently have four SV....Matte Black, Matte White, Yellow and Blue. Tho I will definitely add the Orange one in the future and MAYBE the Green or Red as I'm not sure how the colour is for both. haha. |

Finally, Uncle Chia brought in the Bburago Aventador Swaroski Crystal Edition. He mentioned he brought in couple of sets of light and dark crystal. It's on here.

Just checking, is Hotwheels Elite same standard as Autoart and Kyosho? If so, is Ferrari licensed to them as I cannot find any under AA and Kyosho.

It's hard to compare standard as all have their good and bad points. AA always has excellent paint but sometimes, their model feels light and the interior isnt very good. HWE's paint isn't that good(sometimes) but their interior is excellent! Really heavy as well.
And yes, HW(Mattel) are the ONLY licensed manufacturer for Ferrari models at that price range. Kyosho actually has Ferrari license as well, but they have to package it under BBR so that they don't compete in the HWE segment. Ic ok. Thx for the info, Geeamino. I was thinking of future prancing horses in my collection after the charging bulls so did a bit of looking up. So HW or HWE will only be brand that carries the Ferrari makes then.

aquila: yeap. If you're into classic Ferrari's then you can always get Kyosho as well like the F40 and 512 Testarossa. But for the modern ones, only HW and HWE.

Tho the latest release, the 348 TB looks like $hit! Real disappointment considering how good their recent release have been. Another model that I find quite disappointing is the 612 Scag. Even the Sesanta Elite version doesn't look that good. Hopefully the 355, FF and 458 GT/Spyder are much better! Aquila: If you're planning on adding the F430, only non-elite is readily available. The Elites are very, very hard to find, both Coupe and Spyders. |

Certainly i had to.. all of the 360's front ride height were screwed up by HW elite.. doesn't really help HWE much from the fact that even the wheels were a lil' way too inside, making the front wheels look somewhat disproportioned. Not exactly the way they should make my fav modern era ferrari, but i guess i got no choice.. And i heard someone talking about the Coupe.. sky: Always the boss!!!
All of them look amazing!lkwanz: Love the green! Just wondering how different is this green compared to the Verde Ithica Balboni. I think the blue SV is similar to this in the sense that you can never truly capture the colour well. I've seen alot of different shades of this green from different pictures. But if you ask me, I still think yellow is the best. |

f1 motorsports. At delfi orchard, level 3 right at the end of the walkway. His name is jacky, ultra friendly fella. Or Nikko, at far east shopping centre. just at the entrance. But the people not so friendly (i feel they are very $$ motivated). the only Franchisor for AA in singapore. |

Ya..I just order the 12C both colours.... copper and orange...price less than 1k each..but this one is without the plastic covers, base is the same. i dont need the cover as i will be displaying inside the cabinet. those acrylic cover sometimes not fit for everyone. Later when credit card comes...i will borrow money from SKY.

hacken: I think copper colour is nicer. I'm waiting to see if they will do a silver or white version because I think their price is very reasonable...eventho I doubt they have official license for the MP4-12C. Lol.

GEE: white will be nice...and yes the price is quite reasonable....i never had a Frontiart model before and this is my first one. If the quality I see is on par with BBR...then the price is dam cheap if u compare with BBR and MR on resin category. I taken both colours because....
1. I am Mclaren diehard (Formula 1) 2. The wheels for the orange and copper are diff. Have u seen laoda listings on those 12C GT2 cars made by Technomodel? They got loads of coming up. I think I will pick one from there. |

Yeap. I saw those tecnomodel one. Price kinda crazy tho. 1.6k but the Gulf livery is nice!! Tho I doubt I can go for the tecnomodel version, probably just get the peako one.

they already test their price on SVs, & found that they are still lot of buyers buy from them, so they now increase again haha.
this is what call "got inch & want to get feet" (translate from chinese lol) what they explained was, a piece of watch can sell at such price, & their models same with those watches, that built by few hundred of different pieces, so why a piece of watch can sell at such price & they can't? this is a stupid excuse. |

jchue: I also didnt know about the headlights until recently when I emailed Tecnomodel asking about the new release and they mentioned the "improvements" on the headlights.
I think Slate Blue is one of the original release along with the Matte Black, Frost White and Villa D'este. |

I think the Mclaren F1 is probably the best diecast from AA...even if the Zonda R is more expensive. So yea, I would say that it is definitely worth it to get one.

Really nice that McLaren F1. How much was it you guys bought? Last month Mclaren got sales, it cost less than RM600 for this one. I dont know want to get it or not..but now the sales is over, so it back to around RM850.

blu3hamm3r: That one is AA. I got it...quite long ago already. Almost a year ago from ebay. Why silver? Well it is the colour that featured most in magazines etc so people(or me atleast) tend to associate the F1 with silver. But I think for 1/18, the white and black looks good as well!

derrick: AA has been bullshitting for the last couple of years with their "sob" stories. I suppose they saw the SV selling quite well(I think) and then realise they could charge more. But then, it comes a point where it's not worth it anymore when an Elite new release or Kyosho(apart from the Ghost) can still cost RM350 or less instead of RM500.
I'm really starting to consider not purchasing AA anymore. There are other brands out there thats more deserving of collectors money like Welly, Maisto and Norev. underarmour: Nice Range Rover! marcus: I've always been fine with their other price increase but now it's starting to get to a point where it's ridiculous. I mean an R35, which retailed for around $100 not so long ago, is being re-released for much more without any improvements at all.
Sure, like you said, most of us will still probably buy their models. I'm definitely looking forward to their V12 Vantage and LP570 but then I'll probably not enjoy them because somehow, it feels as if I've been cheated. And for me, I'm okay with not purchasing any AA model because, all I really need is the HWE line. hehe. |

Gee & Jay: high-5! the irony is, 90% of my models are kyosho and HW elite.. hehe! but i do understand the pain of price increase for models..
why not? 5-6 years ago HW elite Recommended retail price in SG was SGD89.90.. fast forward, and they're at SGD169.90 for the basic models.. AA collectors, you're lucky lo the increase only by a few dollars.. |

Yup... Definitely agree with all of u... I will stop hauling AA after they launch the Lp570 and Z-Tune...
Rather go for Kyosho which have better quality yet their price still the same... why kyosho never increase price like AA?? Wasnt both also having factory at China?? AA is just too greedy!! Marcus very true also... haha But if Kyosho or HWE do release more model then definitely will stop AA!! I like SG style boycott them... haha |

myke...mine is not special price and i dont know the price of Laoda one. Coz mine dont have the plastic covers. I dont prefer the plastic covers as it really make no sense for me.
Without the plastic covers, its a bit cheaper. Frontiart email me before that the price of the base with the arcylic covers is RMB100.00 conversion to RM is around RM50.00 which is way cheaper than AA base. If I want I can get the base only from Frontiart. That is why I want to compare your buy with mine price difference. but yours is with plastic cover and mine not so comparison cannot make here. |

For Lambo, Welly and Norev does good modern Lambo as well. The LP640, LP670, LP560, LP560 Spyder, Gallardo SE and Gallardo Spyder. So AA isn't the only one out there. |

For Lambo, Welly and Norev does good modern Lambo as well. The LP640, LP670, LP560, LP560 Spyder, Gallardo SE and Gallardo Spyder. So AA isn't the only one out there. The paint thick but uneven. Might try to get 1 Norev Lambor and see how the build up. Thanks for the infor bro. |

yeah man, i think SV just testing by them on collectors & the SV still selling well as most collectors also collect more than 1 color.
it is bullshit on their excuse. somemore their quality control also not that good considering the point. i really hope kyosho can get more license from different brand, so that i can just stick with kyosho. even the box also, kyosho 1 look more secure, & AA only provide that kind of box on their signature line. after LP570-4 & LP700-4(if they got release), i will definitely stop buying from them as their attitude also sucks. unless in future lambos got release any nice new models that i like. |

It's really nothing new, interms of not having license. I'm sure Versus or APM are not licensed to do Hamann or Novitec models as well. The P4/5 from APM is also not "official" but yet, it's still extremely valuable.
It wouldn't really bother me if I currently have the Frontiart MP4-12C. |

Frontiart Models are all liscensed. They are actually the same owner and factory as Fline/Lucky model that used to produce models without official liscenses. But they have stopped this line and started a new brand called Frontiart Models with all models with official liscenses.

I was very excited when I received my Volcano Red MP4-12C in the mail yesterday. Took it out just now and my breath was taken away by the paint work. Bravo.
 The box is not too bad and nicely made and packed. Then to my horror, I saw the left rear wheel a little kemek !  Upon further inspection, the right rear wheel was also a little dented. Not as bad as the left rear wheel though.  When I looked at the bottom plate, the corner looked very rough and I thought it looked like it was badly burnt.  I guess this one has to go back. My bubble really burst this morning. One of the models I was really looking forward to receiving.p/s: Sorry for the not so good pics. Was testing camera. |

Here's some yesterday 1 of the BBR received. Limited 100 pcs. Met red but because I took the picutres at nite with yellow light tube on top, the reflections looks like an orange.    This is the 3rd 458 I have...I think there should be 4th coming which is the one with opening features by BBR too. Who poison u into this hobby or what thing make u start collecting diecast? That must be very interesting. ^^ Let me start my story 1st. My story is like tat....my Thai office sales girl one day msn me, ask me help her to buy a toy in M'sia, she claim that in Thailand no stock, the toy she ask me to buy is HOT TOYS IRON MAN Mrk5. I surf LYN very frequent but only at photography section. While i trying to search for the HOTTOYS is this section, i accidently saw Sky707 WTS thread.
This photo  make me fall in love with this hobby. I brought my very 1st diecast "Lamborghini Reventon black with him on 7 of Oct. From that day on, i start fall into this hole deeply. I start searching around all the related thread, search for place tat selling diecast, grab all my dream car one by one.....non stop.... T_T......spending hundred and hundred to brought a pc of iron. I still remember early of this year, i went to Sunway piramid shopping and passby a toy shop. The toys shop did display some diecast which is Kyosho brand Aston martin, BMW M6....etc, at the moment i saw the price tag there it was really make me shocked! "Wth? RM400+ for just a small car? Wonder which crazy guy will buy?" And now.....i become the crazy guy......How about u guy? Mind to share ur story? Btw, this is part of my collection since 7 Oct 2011.  |

Bluehummer: my first diecast is during my hk trip,accidentally pass by a diecast shop,but that time still new,so never think of getting autoart o expensive model...at last i choose a mondo motors reventon which cost me around rm200... That time this car is very expensive to me ady.....And that time my thinking way same with u, only crazy ppl will buy such expensive model,at last i admit im crazy....but now ady bcome normal abit liao,hehe

My story is, after i moved into a new house, n my cabinet is empty. I wan to filling it up with something....ermmm...not this version.
ok, seriously, my story is because of ebay. My friends is collecting transformers. He teach me how to shop in ebay. Then i started to hunt some toys.....My first toy is disney wall-e robot which is out of production, n i got it from ebay around USD200++... okok...straight to the point. my friend collect transformers as a hobby and i wanna collect something else. So i picked diecast as my hobby. My first car was either Mclaren F1 or Reventon or Gallardo, hardly 2 remember which 1 is first. I did do some research about diecast, which brand is better and after i saw this thread. I kena poison....deeply. Then i keep expand my collection. I hunt most of my cars from ebay, Nissan GTR, Citroen GT, Lamborghini Murcielago. and Then i purchased Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg from replicarz within two months. And then Audi R8 and M3....bla bla bla... then my last car into the collection was the CMC Mclaren Slr (broken ver)......coz now i m more interested in something is Rare and limited. Somehow i m also collecting Hot toys and PVC figure. |

I started since May or June in this year. If not Mclaren F1, then will be Reventon, murcielago and Gallardo. I got the Reventon , Murcielago n Gallardo at the same time with the same seller. Not printing $$ larr, coz the currency count in USD, didnt really count much~~ after that just keep paying my credit card.........

I'm sure next year is gonna be a very busy(and expensive) year for you! I've always liked cars since I was young but I was never "crazy" about cars until about few years back. I don't really remember anything triggering my excitement for cars. It sorta just grew overtime and therefore I started out building 1/24 Tamiya kits and then a couple of years ago, I saw a Bburago Reventon at Jusco. At that time, I wasn't working yet so I couldn't get it and that, basically, kick started my interest in diecast. Few months later, I bought the Maisto SLR and R8 and then the next day I went back and bought the Maisto Carrera GT. The rest is history. Lol But then, I still remember the first time I got my first "High End" diecast. It was the AA Veyron(along with the Elite California, E93 M3 and Merc CL63) and it just blew me away. It was so much better than the Maisto's I had at that time. I use to purchase about two models every week but now, I've slowed down alot. Maybe sometimes 1-2 a month depending on how much they cost. I'm sure next year is gonna be a very busy(and expensive) year for you! I've always liked cars since I was young but I was never "crazy" about cars until about few years back. I don't really remember anything triggering my excitement for cars. It sorta just grew overtime and therefore I started out building 1/24 Tamiya kits and then a couple of years ago, I saw a Bburago Reventon at Jusco. At that time, I wasn't working yet so I couldn't get it and that, basically, kick started my interest in diecast. Few months later, I bought the Maisto SLR and R8 and then the next day I went back and bought the Maisto Carrera GT. The rest is history. Lol But then, I still remember the first time I got my first "High End" diecast. It was the AA Veyron(along with the Elite California, E93 M3 and Merc CL63) and it just blew me away. It was so much better than the Maisto's I had at that time. I use to purchase about two models every week but now, I've slowed down alot. Maybe sometimes 1-2 a month depending on how much they cost. AA latest news update really break my heart!! Lot of AA fan wrote a complaint on their AA FB wall, hopefully they wont increase so fast. At leaast after i collect all LP-640,670 and other bulls..... >.<hacken: Cant wait to see ur photo!!! |

Got this idea from blu3hamm3r when he posted his haul over 2 months.
So I also decided to compile what I've bought this year. I think I manage to get most of them in. Only missing the SLS Coupe, F430 GT and Maisto SLR.  Another reminder that I probably spent too much already!! So who else wanna share their 2011 haul? hacken probably can't fit his entire haul in this page. |

i have that 599XX too..but not that colour. the BBR box states its a nice colour..the mett red is slightly darker.

Hey guys, I recently went to Lamborghini Factory and Museum at San't Agata Bolognese, Italy.
Here's a little update of my "showroom".  Bought that book there, while all those 7 cars were a good bargain in Rome, Italy. Hehe And hidden on the left of the Spyder, there's actually a piece of orange/red leather of the seat of Aventador, was given as gift during the factory visit. Hehe Some other stuff like lanyard, aventador cap, shirt and etc. bought at the store are not shown here as well. Haha Will post up pics of my experience of the visit there including a 15 minutes drive of a white LP570-4 when I'm free. Hehe |

white is a great choice for this fine model... and i always like tecnomodel's display base... very luxury feel...

just 1 day i missed out 2 pages! let me recap abit: Lkwanz90: the same old digicam bro.. Lumix LX5. not using any light tent but light painting instead. Sauron76: i'm using glossy photo paper as background so you'll see luminous reflection. BryantNg: thanks for compliment bro, but don't let DSLR master here heard what you said, they probably laughing at me.. coz it's not how good my digicam is, in fact is the power of photoshop if you know how to use it. for DSLR master they just shoot accordingly by settings & specific lens to get the perfect shot without tweaking... as for me, it took few hours just to tweak in photoshop to get this result:  geeamino: thanks bro.. can't wait for your upcoming One-77. blu3hamm3r: finally your Mclaren F1 arrived! is it white?!
