QUOTE(aquilaTE @ Dec 1 2011, 03:36 PM) Just checking, is Hotwheels Elite same standard as Autoart and Kyosho? If so, is Ferrari licensed to them as I cannot find any under AA and Kyosho. Hah.. 90% of my cars are ferrari.. let me see..Hmm it depends lo, for those early release models (year 2008 release and before), some of them are pretty bad the QC and details.. But they have a few which are pretty good in quality like: F430 Challenge 575 Superamerica 125S mondial 8 It's from 2008 year onwards which suddenly some models with significant improvement (for e.g no dog-leg doors, better detailings, perforated grills), some examples are: F430 Scud (nope the F430 had dog-leg doors California Dino 246gt And.. come year 2010, the "breakthrough" period for HW elite.. They FINALLY acquired some Precision-detailed modelling skills, impressing the Dc world with the following: 599 XX 599 GTO 250 California 458 Italia There's still some doubts over their final touch (for e.g 599XX's incorrect headlamps & 458's Exhaust and oversize front wheel) but generally from 2010 onwards, they can be said to be making DECENT models already. And with the 250 GT SWB recently out, details are looking for it.. Some New ferrari by HW elite to look out for: 348TB (previously only made by maisto and burago) *1-2 mths time* Ferrari FF *2mths onwards* 355 (previously only made by Ut models and Hot wheels regular) And more.. In short: Many of Hw elite models do have certain flaws in them, but these are the models you should AVOID if u are not a very avid Ferrari collector.. HW Elite's 360 series and the F50.. one word: Horrible! If anyone of u keen, i can create a list of what HW elite to buy and what not.. QUOTE(geeamino @ Dec 1 2011, 11:53 PM) marcus: The Elite(and non-elite) Enzo is very good as well. And also the recently released Mondial 8 is also great! On the contrary, i think the official pics for the 348 TB looks great! it's definitely looking waaaay better than those from maisto and burago.. i think the pics might not have dealt sufficient justice.. let's just wait for the model to be released b4 we judge again.. Tho the latest release, the 348 TB looks like $hit! Real disappointment considering how good their recent release have been. Another model that I find quite disappointing is the 612 Scag. Even the Sesanta Elite version doesn't look that good. Hopefully the 355, FF and 458 GT/Spyder are much better! Aquila: If you're planning on adding the F430, only non-elite is readily available. The Elites are very, very hard to find, both Coupe and Spyders. yeah the 612 wasnt a very good model from elite too, featuring old-fashioned dog-legs door, extremely disappointing.. the elite version is totally not worth it! Added on December 2, 2011, 1:35 pm QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Dec 2 2011, 10:33 AM) Marcus: Thanks for the infor. I edi have 458 and F430. Hunt around for the 360 spyder. Ur side still no news? sorry laopan no news siah.. jhhue: U got lobang? PM me infor for F430 Scuderia, thanks. ![]() ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Marcus_cech: Dec 2 2011, 01:35 PM |

QUOTE(geeamino @ Dec 2 2011, 01:42 PM) marcus: It's definitely way better than the Bburago but I suppose I'm already "judging" it because I'm not much of a fan of the 348. Lol. That said, the pop-up headlights adds something extra to the model and probably means the upcoming 355 would have it as well....which is great! Before:And that Spyder looks much better than the silver/grey version! Lol. You lowered it? ![]() yes buddy.. Certainly i had to.. all of the 360's front ride height were screwed up by HW elite.. doesn't really help HWE much from the fact that even the wheels were a lil' way too inside, making the front wheels look somewhat disproportioned. Not exactly the way they should make my fav modern era ferrari, but i guess i got no choice.. And i heard someone talking about the Coupe.. ![]() This post has been edited by Marcus_cech: Dec 2 2011, 03:59 PM |

Hmm
f1 motorsports. At delfi orchard, level 3 right at the end of the walkway. His name is jacky, ultra friendly fella. Or Nikko, at far east shopping centre. just at the entrance. But the people not so friendly (i feel they are very $$ motivated). the only Franchisor for AA in singapore. |

QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Dec 6 2011, 04:23 PM) geeamino: IMHO AA captured the Zonda in perfect details esp with the engine part.. But totally agree with Geeamino, the Mac's really the car which AA manage to make best! |

QUOTE(geeamino @ Dec 7 2011, 12:25 PM) derrick: AA has been bullshitting for the last couple of years with their "sob" stories. I suppose they saw the SV selling quite well(I think) and then realise they could charge more. But then, it comes a point where it's not worth it anymore when an Elite new release or Kyosho(apart from the Ghost) can still cost RM350 or less instead of RM500. Well, I've got good and bad news for u guys..I'm really starting to consider not purchasing AA anymore. There are other brands out there thats more deserving of collectors money like Welly, Maisto and Norev. underarmour: Nice Range Rover! Always wanted to add one but can't find one reasonably priced. Lol. Good news: Due to the recent price hike again by AA, many of us fellow collectors are once again promising to boycott and stop buying AA models.. On theory, this is certainly a huge savings for everyone's wallet. Bad new: Amidst these price hikes, sooner or later you still will be buying their models once again.. Just ask yourself this.. How many times have they increase their price? and how many times we have retaliate against it by saying we will stop our purchase? and how many times, have we put the price hike aside and continue our passion for models back again? Bottomline: unless we lose these passion for model cars, if not, the numerous times of price hikes from AA will not seem to hamper our purchase for model cars as our hobby i reckon.. Gee & Jay: high-5! the irony is, 90% of my models are kyosho and HW elite.. hehe! but i do understand the pain of price increase for models..
why not? 5-6 years ago HW elite Recommended retail price in SG was SGD89.90.. fast forward, and they're at SGD169.90 for the basic models.. AA collectors, you're lucky lo the increase only by a few dollars.. |

QUOTE(derrick_cls @ Dec 7 2011, 02:19 PM) Yup... Definitely agree with all of u... I will stop hauling AA after they launch the Lp570 and Z-Tune... Haha i dun really boycott AA la.. truth is, my passion lies on the italian horse's stable.. so naturally i'd be more swayed over HWE and kyosho lo..Rather go for Kyosho which have better quality yet their price still the same... why kyosho never increase price like AA?? Wasnt both also having factory at China?? AA is just too greedy!! Marcus very true also... haha But if Kyosho or HWE do release more model then definitely will stop AA!! I like SG style boycott them... haha Honestly, AA's recent SV have made me quite itchy-hand but given with the price, nah.. |

BREAKING NEWS: HW Elite FERRARI FF is out! (though not in red for now
http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/1-18-Hotwheels-...f#ht_500wt_1156 Added on December 8, 2011, 10:21 pm QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Dec 8 2011, 09:33 PM) hacken: Laoban, dun be so humble! Fast fast share ur story! Wish to know the process u go into hell too. nothing surprising, HW elite uses those thick "sticker" type for their Ferrari logo and side badge, a bad decision which, till today, they still continue on.. subaru22b: How about u? BryantNG: Black GTR? Still with u? Mana photo? Tat's mean u know Lenewin in real? If not, how u get know into this hobby? jay8393: Wow!!! Maisto Lambo Diablo 40th Anniversary Edition!! Share photo pls!! Added on December 8, 2011, 9:34 pm Bro, ur 1st picture, i saw the Ferrari cover logo peel off??!!! This post has been edited by Marcus_cech: Dec 8 2011, 10:21 PM |
