Change to new GPU for what? Its basically slightly higher clock than what you already owned. Matter of fact, you will not feel the different apart from benchmark result.

How much is your ram now? You can use most of the ram in the market, the different is not a very big gap, too.

Tell you what, if you really want to feel the different - purchase SSD.

Ya lor.

If you still using Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad like me, then the upgrade is worth it.

For raw power 7970 would be nice..... but still AMD driver always be the conflict.
Ur 5400RPM will kill ur system.

7970M & 6990M is a completely different architecture, 40nm vs 28nm not to mention impressive increase in performance & much lower power consumption hence lower temp.
moreover Kepler GTX 660M is ady launched, only 680M is delayed

well, in NBR forum they said 7970M is almost a GTX 570 desktop performance which is very impressive to me at least biggrin.gif
with some OC it can reach a desktop GTX 580 performance!

Personally, it is the last thing in my option.

If your spec can play latest game with highest setting >60fps, then 3D screen will be useful.

I rather play normal screen but with native resolution (1920x1200) + highest setting compared to 1440x900 + medium setting for 3D effects.

They might came out with something better but ATi will win in term of pricing.

They always win.
