Haha. In nOtebook series, it used to be like this, or rebage at high clock with different code name, then it is new GC d
yup, true that but the 6xx-series supposed to be 28nm (kepler). if its a rebadge means its still using the old 40nm (fermi) technology
anyway, those are just rumours but im still positive its not a rebadge laugh.gif

anyone know where can i upgrade my graphic card..damn!!! 1 week after i bought my M18X.. the M18X R2 have been launch..how can i upgrade my spec to R2?? i want it to be fully R2..if anybody know the good place please tell me..
*
'fully' M18X R2 would include changing the mobo i think hmm.gif which is quite a hassle. anyway, there's not much difference between R1 & R1 n the IB proc is backward compatible w the R1 mobo smile.gif

Just notice new refresh for M17x. Price seems good based on the hardware!
*
but the config options only have 3D screen @120Hz, so cant opt for the 7970M just yet hmm.gif

7970 also a normal 6990 with a high clock and stream proc. Also not worth getting though. Haha... kapler and and xt takes a time to be launch. Many user get cheated. Haha
*
7970M & 6990M is a completely different architecture, 40nm vs 28nm not to mention impressive increase in performance & much lower power consumption hence lower temp.
moreover Kepler GTX 660M is ady launched, only 680M is delayed

7970m got 20k+ in 3D mark vantage while the 6990m only having around 13k

unless u r saying 7970M vs 6990 desktop version =D
*
well, in NBR forum they said 7970M is almost a GTX 570 desktop performance which is very impressive to me at least biggrin.gif
with some OC it can reach a desktop GTX 580 performance!

well, im ok with that. few FPS doesnt effect the game play...
*
i dont think that its 'only a few FPS' difference..
3DMark 11 for 7970M scores around P54xx while 680M only about P49xx which is huge difference
and 7970M can max out every game drool.gif
but anyway as u said, it doesnt effect the game play as long as u tone down the graphic setting smile.gif
