I would say Coolermaster U2. Perfect fit for the m14x size and two cooling fans for two vents.

Well, the laptop gets really hot when I play games. I now prop the end with a book in the middle, bout 1 inch or so in height. That takes care of the problem! Vents are clear, and the air dissipates immediately.

Use cooler won't hell the "hot" u mention. Changing it to SSD u will feel the different. Save the money for better future. Cooler is just a fan to enhance the airflow, not to cool down the system(Aircon do cool down system)

U are clever using the book to lift the laptop up^_^…

The place where u feel hot is the place where the HDD located. And if u mention CPU and GPU temperature, it can't help much as small chassis with high spec, surely will go hot. Same goes to my M18x such a big ventilation still the processor runs on 80'c++ sometime even go to 90'c, GPU is OK cause GPU not the hottest hardware in the system.

M15x, just launch minecraft GPU temp will increase to 60+ wow @@

60 is vvry low man. 100'c only consider over heat

But It's only minecraft.... Btw my M15x cannot support 1080p crysis 3 lol T_T only 720p.... 1080p fps below 20

Tried Dota 2... Temperature around 65~75, 30~40 fps

M15x over 100 + only consider overheat

my m14xr2 temp 60-70c on high setting playing crysis 3

Well, what graphic card u using? Probably u can lower down some the setting, and increase the resolution. Personal preference, I prefer high resolution rather than high setting.FPS>resolution>setting

My M15x Gtx 460M, 1.5GB.... 1080p but all lowest setting still 20 fps.... must set to 720p only can play

Dunno why i play arma 2, 720p and 1080p same fps... all 16~20.... but 720p abit more stable loh...

Im so happy with AMD 7970 on M17xR4, Farcry3 avg 70 or max 75. No cooler. No aircon. just ceiling fan . 8 months old laptop hehe. no repasting done yet. Stock paste. I think somehow my good processor is the reason too, I got 3820QM.

but Did anyone use 3rd party mSATA drive in their m14xr2

thinkin of getting one ...and slap back the 1tera drive that come with it..

and yes I already have SSD in my m14xr2
but only 160gb

cause i sked that buying incompatible brand and end up piling the cost

I think it can be used on I tunes as well.

A simple 'google it' can help you out with this. Yeah and a bit of trail and error. But it does work.
