Could you tell me how you are going to reinstall Windows? Do you use the Alienware Windows 7 DVD? Or, do you choose to use Windows 7 SP1 (MSDN) integrated image? Such choice may affect the need to backup the login background, user account pictures and your OEM key.
*
i think i will use the alienware win7 cd to reinstall

Okay, you do not need to backup all of the aforementioned files, as they are embeded within the DVD. Just one notable weakness of using the DVD is that you have to wait for a long time for Windows Update to download and install SP1, as well as post-SP1 Windows Updates. It is okay.  smile.gif It is up to you to decide.
*
but if i ignore and download those update slowly after i install my system
no prob right?

some software i downloaded from dell website...
but i think LAN driver is old one compared to the one in the cd provided

i saw a news report on that...

QUOTE
As you would expect the Alienware X51 comes in a range of specs with the lowest priced version at £699 bringing an 3.3 GHz Intel Core i3-2120, Nvidia Geforce GT545 graphics, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a 1TB harddrive.

At the other end of the spectrum is the £999 version with 8 Gigs of RAM, Intel Core i7-2600 and Nvidia Geforce GTX 555 graphics. That will give you up to 77 frames per second from Battlefield 3, according to Dell-owned Alienware.
