do other games have the same blue screen? which application and error code causes the blue screen?

Gosh... my m11x is getting old... 2 years... struggling on games oredi.

same here, bought my R1 when it first came out, the first batch. had the LCD panel replaced twice already. The second time was just recently. and also the whole chassis were replaced last week too. aesthetically looks brand new, but performance wise may not be able to catch up with the latest softwares and games. nevertheless i love my m11x. I only use it for college works, and light photo editing. it has been my main work horse for photoshop and lightroom usage for all these while!

anyways, just upgraded to the x51 loving both my alienware!

i have a question, if i already uninstall my alien respawn long time ago, and i wanna restore back to factory settings, can i reinstall back the alienrespawn and use it like normal? or is there any settings or partition etc i need to do in order to restore back factory settings?

and I am also thinking of the current 1tb hdd in my x51 and replacing it with 2 SSD drive (1 128GB SSD + 1 750GB SSD/HDD hybrid) what are the steps? install the converter (with 2 ssd drives) first? I am so lack of knowledge in this! what are sata 1 2 3, etc. help!

converter if i put two ssd inside this casing, will i see 2 hard drives in my windows system? or i will only see one since its both combined into one?

Do you still have the recovery partition? If still have, reinstalling alienrespawn should be able to use it, else no.

As for the converter, from the website description..
Built in RAID featuring RAID 0, RAID 1, BIG, and Port Multiplier. (Port Multiplier mode requires a SATA
Port Multiplier card in order to see 2 drives. Without a Port Multiplier card, only 1 drive will be seen)

what is your alienware model? i searched that m14x upgrades are quite limited, while m15x and better, you have more options.

M11X R2 now mainly for normal use also or some old games ..

Main now is M14XR1 and still kicking!

oh, my old alienware batch. i read some peoples from notebookreview did an upgrade on their m15x with ATI HD7970M. so, the answer is yes. if you want to upgrade, ask TS. he will help you.

guys, my m11x this morning died .. i will call dell after my exam. dang. i am so worried now
i turned it on, within split second there was smoke coming out from the bottom, the left side of m11x. near the fan there. and beeping non stop. i quickly unplugged the power supply, and it still beeps and smokes. i quickly opened the back panel, and then halfway through it stopped. i unplugged the batt, and plug back the power supply, not opening anymore.

Smoke coming out. Hardcore stuff there. You better unplugged it from the battery as well. Did you see anything burn?
