Well that got me questioned too lol..
since the 9% is only for the laptop..
so 7326 X 0.09 = 659.34
if the cash redemption RM239 is added its suppose to be 898.34
That would abit extra..

but if the 9% discount applies to the total..
7943 X 0.09 = 714.87

Maybe there's a bug in their system?
but so far i do my calculation BASED on the pricelist by Dell Sales Agent.

Well in total i got discount like RM1115.85 from dell include 9% and RM239 cash redemption
so i guessed...
RM1,115.85 - RM239
= RM876.85
Came to my conclusion that the RM876.83 in the picture is only the 9% discount ^^

About the English.. Well mine's too actually..
but i managed to get him understand what im saying..

Okay. Please bear with me with the following example. Dell coupon calculation is used as the PRIME basis for determining the real verdict in this case.
(1) Noticed the M17x price = RM 7,859.00
(2) Orion Laptop Backpack cash redemption = RM 229.00
(3) Dell EPP Program Special Discount 9% coupon for Dell laptop series at RM 3,000 and above = RM 686.70 ?????????????
(4) Alienware Orion Laptop Backpack = RM 229.00 ????????????? Why just why?

How come Dell EPP 9% coupon produces that amount? If we reverse the calculation, the 9% coupon is actually based on the NET final price that is AFTER minus the Cash Redemption.
RM 686.70 / 0.09 = REAL NET FINAL PRICE is RM 7,630.00!
Thus, RM 7,859.00 - RM 229.00 = RM 7,630.00!
Therefore, RM 7,630.00 * 9% = RM 686.70!

So the REAL calculation should be as follows:
(RM 7,859.00 - RM 229.00) - RM 686.70 = RM 6,943.30!

You should only pay RM 6,943.30,
Not RM 7,172.30
Because at RM 7,172.30, they actually ADD ANOTHER UNIT OF THAT FREE GIFT WHICH IS NOW IS NOT FREE (NO CASH REDEMPTION FOR IT) (Alienware Orion Laptop Backpack in this case), so you might get duped. Argue with your Dell SA.

It is actually quite simple. I am looking foward to ordering the M14x and I noticed that they charge the amount of the laptop (RM7859 for the M17x + free gift (which is RM229 for the Orion), then they slap on the RM229 cash rebate so you actually get a free Orion instead of an extra RM229 reduction. The "RM229 instant cash rebate" shown is just to mean that the Orion is free, instead of an extra RM229 discount.

hi..im interested to be part of alienware family...but juz curious, how much weight for m14x? is it easy to carry? wanna buy m17x but i heard the weight nearly 5kg...

well that is my conclusion actually..
since my price is more cheaper than the discount stated RM876.85
still.. you can always refer to a nice Online Sales Agent by the phone

The M14x weighs around 3kg, which is slightly heavier than most 15.6" laptops such as the HP dv6, Dell XPS 15, Inspiron 15 SE and Asus N56. It's chassis is smaller though, so it may feel quite dense. They have a 12% coupon for the M14x which makes it to be quite good deal now.

what is the difference between SSD and caching SSD(using msata maybe?)
and which is better and cheaper PLus the best brand? for the m17x?
does it void warranty if we changed the ram,hdisk?

When i spoke to the customer sales, he said that changing the RAM or adding another HDD on the machine will not void the warranty

It will only be voided if the RAM / Hardware part you added causes the machine to malfunction.

you need to open the keyboard to get to another 2 RAM slot.

Hey guys! If i were to let go my m11xr2 with fixed hinge with epoxy. How much do you guys think i should price it?

I finally decided to order a M14x but my browser window hung up at the moment I clicked "confirm order" after payment details has been entered. I have never ordered anything from Dell before so I am in the dark here.

Since I already clicked the "confirm" button, the transection has already partly taken place. So I got an text message from the bank telling me the 1st part , RM239 for the included TactX headset has been debited to Dell and I got the "confirmation email" that contains the shipping invoice.

Unfortunately I still havent got the bank message about the rest of the payment and there is no Dell confirmation email. Hence I think I have ordered just the headset, and not the laptop. Is this because Dell hasn't calculated the price of my laptop and hence not debited the payment or is my order incomplete and the Bank hasn't received my order?

This leads to another issue to me since I basically has just bought a TactX without the accomapnying M14x, can I cancel the order before the TactX is shipped or should I wait until I recive the TactX and the only return it back to get a refund. Some pointers are appreciated.

Yes you are correct on that. there are 2 RAM slots one is the easy way and the other one is you need to remove the keyboard.

You can check on youtube as well for tutorials. a little bit scared that i might damage the keyboard but i think ill do the easy way.. )
