wait wait before i do that if i even know it  , will this void my warranty if i send in back to HTC ? 

i believe it wont void the warranty, all you have to report to htc center electricity breakdown during software update process now my mozart stuck at HTC Logo.

But Lumia 710 price is sure still over RM1k. General rule of thumb in Malaysia when you want to reach the mainstream market is that your phone must either be top-of-the-line (SII, IP4S), or below 1k (Ideos X5, Galaxy W).

Lumia 710's price is not competitive enough in Malaysia IMO. People overseas are more willing to spend, but the situation in Malaysia should be different.

IMHO, no need to backup your contacts as it is synced to the cloud via Windows Live, therefore, if you hard reset ur WP , once you reset, just login again with your Live ID , and all your contacts will be back.

For Office document, there's an option for upload to Skydrive.
