i received a number of PM related mostly on noob wanna have their device chevron + interop unlock for all the sideload apps/games.

i am here to give noob some guide and understanding what is chevron unlock and interop unlock.

Chevron Unlock - it give you the ability to sideload apps/games with extension of XAP into your device without getting it from marketplace. however, chevron unlock are not full unlock. certain XBL signed games altho can be sideload to device. but it will not run. especially those mangofied XBL games.

interop Unlock - this unlock give you the ability to unlock certain system files area and registry so that you can customise certain registry and files of your own.

For LG WP7 devices
you can refer Here on details how to chevron + interop unlock.

For Samsung WP7 devices
you can refer Here or Here on how to chevron + interop unlock

[b]For HTC 1st Generation WP7 devices only (which included, HD7, mozart, surround, trophy)[
in order for you to get chevron + interop unlock. you have to start before 7392(NoDo) firmware with SPL lower than 4.5. from there u will need tools like U2M7720, U2M7740 and U2M8107 to prevent it from lock back on each update. please take note that u must read and understand fully before you proceed. any failure here might turn your device in to half brick or full brick. and for this fault. it will not cover under HTC warranty.

or you can take the second option for HTC 1st Generation custom ROM

if you have SPL over 4.5, you can follow This Link and make your own Cable Y and Goldcard to return your device back to factory default which your SPL will be 1.*

after make sure u have a SPL lower than 1.* follow This link to RSPL/HSPL

once u done the above. you can start flashing any custom ROM out there which you prefer. the good thing of custom ROM now will be full unlock. but of coz u need to find your own way to download your own xap source for sideload.

do not ask me how to do it as i take a long process for me to read thru over the internet and experienced a few half brick device before. i can do the dirty job for u for certain fees but not teaching u how to do the dirty job.

but again. i have to warn u.... you have to understand any of the method above will bring your device warranty void. unless you know how to revert those process back. and also DO the above on ya own risk. do not blame anyone of bricking your device later.

it might stop at 72% when loading the games from your browser. but leave it and it will resume when it finish loading. then go to option. select "click to cut"

I must say I pretty much NEVER download from Zune Desktop. Can just goto http://www.windowsphone.com/marketplace and do it from there.
