If your Marketplace is not prompting your for an update which you KNOW is already available, search for the app on Marketplace, then tap the "<-" button, then tap on the app in Marketplace again. It will prompt you for an update.

guys i wanna ask, my mozart sometimes after setting the camcorder settings to the 720P setting, and when it starts recording, it lags like hell, its not my phone, its the recording, the video turns out lagging as well. Its like having a realllllllllllyyyy bad framerate problem. So, I would like to ask whether this is a firmware or a hardware problem? if its a hardware then I am gonna ask for a replacement..

just damn unlucky with my phone  mad.gif

what should i do now?  cry.gif
*
I used to have that on my Omnia 7, it wasn't as choppy as yours though, it's about 10 fps. That was when I first had it. Then I reset the phone to factory settings to put in my "Singapore" live ID in there, and the choppiness went away. Didn't happen on VGA resolution though

I read somewhere that if you switch from VGA to HD recording you'll have that choppiness. If you saved the settings at HD, and the next time you start up the camera it will be OK. This is just what I read though, so I don't know if it will help.

So no one really have that problem with the *100# or *128#? I can't access those :<

That's called the USSD function. WP7 is crap at that. I keep telling MS to fix it but they don't.

QUOTE(quineMc @ Dec 12 2011, 12:29 AM)
Guys, how to set speed dial in mozart??
*
No speed dial in WP7 either. Another stupid move by MS.

nver use USSD code ever after i using unlimited data plan.  (RM68data plan + call RM250+ , waive 68 so i paid 250)
well, just pin your favorite ppl on start screen no need speed dials.
*
I seldom use USSD code also, but when I need it, I REALLY need it, and it should be functioning properly because it's a GSM standard.

I still find speed dial a heck lot more convenient than pinning a contact, though I find using Tellme to be the fastest laugh.gif

looks like a potentially major bug has appeared on wp7

(ya ya I know it's the mobile site)

Microsoft had better fix this soon, along with the other bugs.

Anyone selling Focus S here?

If not, how can I get them?
*
No one selling Focus S unless you wait another 6-12 months because:
1) It's exclusive
2) It's got rockin' hardware specs, and is actually better than the Titan

Unless you're willing to pay good money for it.

If someone can get me the contact of someone in Microsoft M'sia, I can try to volunteer my service to them to bring Marketplace to M'sia smile.gif

Yes, Omnia 7 has the best camera and video recording functions, and it has a tactile Windows button which wakes the device, so you don't have to keep reaching for the power button. It has somewhat metal like casing which makes it really firm, and some even rumored it may be gorilla glass.

Apart from the 8GB (which is really not enough for me), Omnia 7 is the best first gen WinPhone device.

Hi orangegurl,

Make sure you computer's region/country is set to a Marketplace supported country (Singapore, US, Australia, etc), and the Live ID that you use on your phone has the same region/country as your computer, else Zune will tell you to login with a Live ID that is the same country as the computer.

Yes, Microsoft sucks hard that way.

Many sellers are selling the Omnia 7 in garage sales. Check there. As for the Focus S... well... that's not available in M'sia.

guys, im having prob in connecting my Nokia BH503 bluetooth to my HTC Mozart..
it is connected but when i play media file, the sound still plays through speakers, not the headset..
only when im calling, the sound goes to headset..
any idea how to fix this or is there any settings need to be done?
thanks..
*
Through my observation, video media are played over the loudspeaker, while audio media is played through the Bluetooth headsets.

Not sure if this is a bug or by design.

The thing is WP7 isn't exactly beautiful. It's plain and simple but it's a whole lot of fun to use. It's intuitive and has the easiest learning curve, and Tellme is really good.

However, it really lacks the zing offered by droids and iOS. Even I, the owner of 4 windows phones, is drooling over the SGS2 because the games are sooooo much smoother and more fluid. Better games too! The widgets aren't that great, but it is better than the single tile limitation in WP7. Microsoft should just let developers have double wide/double long tiles on the Home screen, that will really add to Winphone's beauty.

The iOS and Android devs have had a few years to figure out how to use the platform properly. You can't compare it with a platform that's only slightly more than a year old. It's up to the developers to know how to write their code to perform the best on the platform, things don't just magically get better when you can write native code.

In fact if you let people write native code, and they're still as irresponsible as they are right now you'll just end up with an unstable phone. What would your complaint be then?
*
The XNA/Silverlight games are pretty unstable too, they'd crash right in mid-game laugh.gif

One thing I'm pretty disappointed with Samsung Malaysia is that until today they didn't officially published Omnia 7 on their official Samsung Malaysis Website  cry.gif  and I have to get my Omnia 7 at Singapore back then (that was before Maxis had it here)... it's almost a year and still the same Samsung Malaysia doesn't even recognize this device on their site here... My feeling is that they will not have Omnia W here as well... sad.gif

They are just too busy with their Galaxy strings of product  shakehead.gif
*
ahtiang, Samsung Malaysia will recognize the Omnia 7 as a support device. I brought my Omnia 7 in for warranty a day after I bought it from Maxis due to dead pixel, and they replaced the display for me F.O.C no questions asked. They didn't even ask me where I got the phone from.

OMG! Celcom launched the Lumia 800 without any big advert on their website sad.gif they silently published it when you go deep into Windows Phone page... sad...

http://www.celcom.com.my/smartphones/windows7.php#windows72

and no news on Maxis...

DiGi is the only Telco having the big advert on Lumia 800...  biggrin.gif
*
It's all about ROI. Why would Celcom and Maxis want to have a campaign for Winphones when the track record of these phones have failed? Not to mention that Marketplace for M'sia is... well... pretty much non-existent.

Well guys... after 5 windows phone (Omnia 7, Mozart, Trophy, Focus, HD7) I guess I'm tired of the limitations by Windows Phone and the freakishly slow updates from Microsoft in fixing the problems that plague this platform.

I'm jumping on the Android bandwagon, so I'll be letting go a few of my phones, namely the HD7 (unlocked) and most like a HD2 i have (flashed with HSPL 3). Don't ask for the other phones tongue.gif I'm a bit too lazy to post in garage sales. If anyone is interested, PM me your best price.

Nothing wrong with my omnia. Jusr want to try focus since the rest i tried.
*
It's identical to the Omnia in almost every aspect except the Focus has an SDCard slot, and the Omnia 7 has better build quality and has a gyroscope. But both phones have the same firmware bugs, i.e. compass and accelerometer going out of whack, sound volume inconsistency, etc. The HTCs have better control and stability over hardware. But AMOLED easily puts LCD and SLCDs to shame. Pity....

Actually, I believe the Omnia 7 has better camera quality too, however that's subjective. But 8 GB? Come on, installing PvZ and DoDonPachi already takes up 300 MB, that's not even including the offline maps.

guys is it worth to buy lumia 900 instead of 800?
i heard that the major differences between these two gadgets are the front camera and screen size hmm.gif
*
From a side by side standpoint, yes, because you get the Zeiss optics and the AMOLED. But from the price standpoint, nope. Frankly, a flagship phone with a inferior specs, second generation Snapdragon, released 9 months later than a 3rd generation Snapdragon (i.e. the SGS2), selling at the price of a Galaxy Note is just a lousy buy. Yes yes, I know, Winphone doesn't require a lot of processing power bla bla bla, but lets face it, lots of games (and apps) currently in marketplace DO require a lot of processing power. Try playing Chromatic and you'll know what I mean. Even DoDonPachi has to scale down it's graphics just to keep the FPS up.

google the screw driver code. Some hardware shop sell. If u manage to remove the sd. Use pc to perform a diskpart on the card and clean it. It should be able to revive ya card like normal.

Put back ya card and perform a hard reset before u boot the device.

If that does work. U need goldcard.

Nowadays no need goldcard to unlock mango liao. Got new method liao.

My HTC trophy just dealt a blow internally. I was playing BBB: Apocalypse for over 15min, then my phone just crashed. Since then I've been having some problems like requiring to reinstall apps for them to work, More frequent random restarts, even native apps crashing. Is it time to reset my phone?
*
Sounds like a faulty SD card. Time to bring it in for warranty, if it is still covered. BBB:Apocalypse is an awesome game though smile.gif
