Yes, Omnia 7 has the best camera and video recording functions, and it has a tactile Windows button which wakes the device, so you don't have to keep reaching for the power button. It has somewhat metal like casing which makes it really firm, and some even rumored it may be gorilla glass.

Apart from the 8GB (which is really not enough for me), Omnia 7 is the best first gen WinPhone device.

You can try to ask the one who selling at RM700 to reduce price a bit... the last time the best price he gave me was RM680.

Microsoft needs to fix the multitasking. Instant resume only works if you use the back button. If you press on toast notifications or just relaunch an app after going back to home screen, you will need to wait for the app to load. This is a complete waste of time. The system should be smart enough to detect that you've recently used the app and activate instant resume.

That's the way it's meant to work, the whole idea of the Windows Phone navigation is that you're browsing through a site. Therefore if you want to return to an app in a state you opened previously, you just keep hitting back (or use the task switcher) like you do when you're browsing webpages.

If you choose to start the program again you'll always start a new instance unless the app was coded differently. You just need to remember if you want to go back to something, use the Back button.

maybe the update has not come to your phone yet.
Try going into Marketplace and see if there is any update for it or not. icon_idea.gif

Doesn't make sense for you to wait for the long loading while chatting with friends on WhatsApp though since people will usually do something else on the phone and then just tap the toast notification when a new reply comes in.

Or having an active session with friends on Twitter.

I now have both the Omnia 7 and 7 Mozart. Both running on Mango. Initial findings show that Omnia 7 is indeed a better phone.

Thank Apple for making manufacturers have the mentality that NO BUTTONS would be cooler than the iPhone's ONE button. Also, to the device maker, not putting a button there is actually cheaper and less prone to failure.
