The guy who said WP7 devices can be upgraded to WP8 retracted his statement.

I belive there will be some form of update for current WP7 phones, not the entire thing. It's the only logical thing to do.

i have a lumia 710 but with no data plan.

i connect to wifi (unifi) at home with data connection = Off. However, it seems like my telcos still charges my data usages.
i contacted celcom, they say if my wifi not stable, lumia 710 will automatically use 3g for Internet Connection (even if data connection = Off).

Is it a known bugs?

Anyone can help?

Its not a known bug. If you switch off data connection and wifi, whay you tap the notification area you should only see the signal bars, with any data indication such as 3G, H oe E, and when you try and surf you will get no cennection error.

Data connection = Off. Wifi = On. I can surf like usual. But my telco charges my data connection even tho Data connection = Off.

Ok, Check your notification are. If there is any H, 3G, E or G sign beside the signal bars logo, then your Data line is on.

Even though you surf on Wifi, as long as there is H, 3G, E or G signal, it means that mobile data connection is still On.

Windows Phone 7 cannot do USSD command like *118#. The only way is use other phone. There really is no other way.

I think Nokia and Microsoft is working on this, this is crucial for the Lumia 610 users as this phone is targeted at younger audience thus the prepaid's USSD is important.

The only way to access the Telco's portal is to use other phone to activate it, I personally have a Android phone it wouldn't be any problem. The other way was to hafal the codes say for instance: *118*1*2*5#, which means something like MENU > MY ACCOUNT > BALANCE, this is just for an example. I had this on my first account. I got it working though. Sadly on my second reset with second account the Bing Music was gone, have to rely on Shazam now. biggrin.gif
