For your 4S you can't restore back to 5.0.1. You can only go to 5.1. Apple stop signing for 5.0.1 already.
R-Sim some claim can but never try before coz the baseband if different and i don't have a 4S with 5.1 to test. Will let you know if i manage to try on one.

No. Only for 5.0.1 baseband 1.0.11, 1.013, 1.0.14.

hello there everyone. i just got an iphone3gs from a friend but since im still new to this kind of device,and i cant seem to use any simcard,so what should i do? apparently my friend said she accidentally reset the phone. it could use simcards before,and is already jailbroken(i think). so do i have to send it to a shop for repair or can do it DIY? if send to shop for repairs,how much would it cost? thanks a bunch!

Must be the hardware problem. Try changing headjack assembly. Should fix your problem.
