I'm guessing about that "fruit" thing, it's more of a slur against the iPhone users than anything else.

Pity we can't get along. I use both, but you don't see me calling my Android a "pastry".

You see little green robot on Android and you see a bitten apple (fruit) on iPhone. Pastry is only for Android firmware names.

My point is, normal folks don't call an iPhone a fruit. Neither do I call an Android phone a "clunker", "pastry" or any replacement term. Why else would anyone replace a term only to have a different agenda in mind?

yes., what's so wrong being called fruity. It's not degraded calling or that sort. Beside, apple is a fruit. You can always call Android user green robot or something. :-)
Not like some fruity call Android user 'geek' or freak :-(

sounds more like you're doing it out of retaliation and name-calling than the "there's nothing wrong" motive.

Google "fruity" and see what definition you get. I don't wanna assume coz you know what they say about assumption?

Disagreeing with someone is not equal to "arguing". Forum encourages different schools of thoughts, not agreement all the time.

I'm just curious behind the reason and motivation of calling the iPhone a "fruit". Someone did mention that Blackberry is a fruit as well, which are you referring to when you call something a "fruit"? Being forthcoming here, not "beating around the bush".

Look., i've no intention of bad calling about iPhone. It just a friendly banter. I even called my little sister as a 'fruity' user as she use iP3S though she called me 'ugly green tin can'. I dont mind as i know it just bantering among us. Sort of friendly rivalry. There's no need to feel hurt or humiliate.

OK... enough with the "Fruit" topic. I call them "Fruit" just like they in iPhone thread call us "Droid"... it's harmless. They can call anything they want...

I nickname "Fruit" because if the "Apple Fruit LOGO", Blackberry don't have "Fruit LOGO"... Just a nick name...

You can call Galaxy Nexus a Tuna! Maguro! Anything you like...

Peace! smile.gif

Wasn't directing that "fruit" enquiry to you but you did come into the conversation, so it 's collateral damage to you. didn't meant you any ill either. One user here uses that term in a derogatory manner, you'll see what I mean when you looked at his post history. If you meant well, then more power to you. This other person, uses it in constant prolonged retaliation even when unprovoked.
