What are you doing here and posting that here then? It's like me later coming over to your SGS3 threead and posting I'll wait for 2013 and get the next Nexus phone.

Bottom line, if you're not discussing any Nexus-related info, I suggest you bring your conversation to the relevant thread. It's only one click before you entered this thread. icon_rolleyes.gif

I just dont get what his point in posting that. Is he trying to tell everyone here that it is unwise to buy something now, and wait for better ones later? Then when do you stop waiting and start using it?

Technically, if you're in UK, you get the phone around RM2,500 from Clove. RM2,300 if you deduct VAT, but you counter that with the cost of getting there and bringing it in. I got mine for RM2,7xx, which I do not mind. Those who do mind, wait. Those who dont, pioneers.

I'm not waiting for AP or contracted telco packages for this one. AP = the same deal with me buying it from another third party individual, warranty status pertaining. Telco = tie myself to another 12/24 months contract, in which, after my Galaxy Note, I'm not gonna go for another contract again.

Getting my Nexus back up again, backing up with Titanium and CWM backup once that is finished. I dont see the volume glitch before I updated to this current build I'm in, so it's not affecting users in Malaysia. I did not receive any OTA update, I went the flash route. Google just posted two recovery images, one of it the build with volume glitch fixed.

Early adopters are always ready to pay a premium. If I want it badly I will not mind paying even RM3K for it
I remember I paid RM3.5K for the first 64GB,3G ipad from Australia and final launch price was RM2.4K. I paid close to RM2.8K for the SGS II ( from UK). But I don't mind as I was prepared for the lower prices when launched locally.
Those who think the AP and imported prices too high, just wait for local release

If your reasonings are valid, then it's understandable, you don't see me flaring up. I don't like people not making any sense, and there seems to be lots of "those kinds of people" I've encountered in the Android section lately.

I filtered down the number apps installed on my Nexus to a couple few that I needed. Those that works, works adequately. I don't see any FCs so far on ICS.

Meanwhile, on my Note, it has rebooted itself for the 5th time today, even when I left it alone, doing nothing but charging.

IMHO The reason why I am so interested to have Nexus is because I already own SG Note. If it is given a choice between this 2, I will definitely choose SG Note due to the limitation of 16GB size without the SD input.

Agree that it's an annoyance when people come in and say they are going to wait to get S3 or will instead go for GNote. Same thing happen since the previous thread.

@stringfellow, is it convenient for you to test out the GPS on the Galaxy Nexus? Just wanna know how long does it take on average to get a GPS lock at an unfamiliar place. Friend's Nexus S's GPS does not impress me.

First turn on the phone, used Google Maps while on YES4G at KL Sentral. Less than 10 seconds, more often than not between 5-7 seconds. The Note has lesser sensitivity to satellite signal, the Nexus can get me accuracy up to 20m even while I'm indoor/under canopy.

I guess in both cases, the barometer sensor probably helps, although in the Note, its sensor reading capture is at much slower rate than the Nexus.
