NAh...nothing big. sweat.gif
I dun have any martensii and hussein dun have them at his place too. I was playin with my centruroides arctimanus so i guess Andrew's fren mistaken them as martensii juvies. Wasn't handling them but they were perched on a twig tats all i hold...not the scorpions.

Lost one babycurus last weekend coz the cricket that it didn't eat, instead, ate him. but guess its a gal...sad.gif

Good news is tat the gracilis and dentatus kids are getting fat and round...and grew and also molted...gracilis are really like speedsters...

Venom potency observation from A.australis

No joke. Have u seen a brown cricket turn whitish in color in less than 10 second...? I dunno if its the effect of the venom or the dying crix turning white.

Also noticed tat the australis even when low on venom, will still strike the prey with the telson...prey die due to injury and massive bleeding. It just uses the hook to pierce the prey and leave it there...i dunno they do that always but tats what i observed...will pay attention to mine during the next feeding. Walton, care to comment on this behaviour ?

from teh time you get the scop till now i must say it hasnt get use to the new home. hence the stress maybe still there causing it to kill and not eat. and they wont be lack of venom, it slike saliva to them smile.gif unless you milk the venom like scientist does smile.gif .

as for the criz... i fdon thin it turn white because of the venom ... well i cant be sure of that!.

australis being a usual desert scorpion will sting its prey before eating due to its natural habitat in a desert, some times food don come by so ofetn, hence androctonus species usualy take everything of its prey even that means its gonna get very very fat smile.gif they prob think that they may not get a prey in a long time so they do nbot take chance in killing a prey, meaning all wayout to kill anything and everything they wana eat, defense over, making it the reason y its the most deadly scoprion in the world, but they can be quite sluggish and slow/lazy when adult. thats y i never aqure them as yet but other androctonus species, but i will soon becsue i still love the Androctonus australis "libycus morph"'s fading black tail,... thats wat you have Australis ...
