Keeping dogs can be dangerous too in a sense. Well tats my whole idea...always got kids come and mess around my tanks when I'm not home and freak my fish out...so it will be a lil interesting for them to mess with a scorpion tank dun u think...curiosity kills the stupid cat... Its a reprisal for the lost of my precious fishy |

hmmm...Lazy to maintain the tank based on the rain forest theme wan la...
Besides, i like the yellow bugger more... I think there are more choices in Sg. la. Wellif i setup a rainforest tank, I'll have to put in more ferns and mosses and dead wood. Nice combination for a big stink The scorps will hide and not come out for food in these kind of setup ??? |

QUOTE(X-Free! @ Feb 18 2006, 11:50 PM) yea, here the price: Ur lil guys and gals look like Heterometrus longimanus...i think.1 - rm20 2 - rm35 3 - rm55 4 - rm75 5&above - rm15 each if interested, msn me at: antonio_kyw@hotmail.com ![]() ![]() There is so many species of Heterometrus and some of them lives around our region. So the slightest change inlocation means a seperate species altogether. So if i get some here and some from there...won't that be mixing different sp. together ??? Won't the kids "IF" there are any be considered freaks of unidentified sp. ??? This is a general statement and not side-sweepin on anyone...just my oppinion as i keep fish and tend to be a purist |

QUOTE(X-Free! @ Feb 21 2006, 01:31 PM) hi,bro...i confirm that are H.Spinifers from my supplier, ok?! Heheh sorry my bad wrong id... How can u take ur fish keeping experience compare for the scorpion keeping leh... pix too blur to see what it is heheh...pai seh pai seh Well certain things and practices are similar for all types of hobbies...only need to tweak a lil bit to suit the situation. Fish keeping...hmmm what i meant was breeding the fish. It shud be up to the breeders' ethics not to or try hard not to create hibrids frys. So even two fish may look similar (eg : Corydoras melini and Corydoras davidsandsi) , it doesn't mean its the same species. Crossing them would result in the creation of "mutant" kids. Tats what i mean. Only strict hobbyist or dedicated breeders will know what they have. So by the way, where does H.spinifers come from which country ? Just curious...still learnin...sorry for the mis-id just now heheh Well if u wanna sell ur imperators, then sell to me la hehehe Oh yar...McG, Urodacus i dun think u can get here lor...here only got the spinifers and if u lucky, imperators lor...otherwise u have to go catch from the jungle lor...heheh. I mailed someone about the Scorpio maurus palmatus...going for U$D 15 without delivery. Dunno he want to sell and send to M'sia or not This post has been edited by Balthasar: Feb 21 2006, 04:28 PM |

QUOTE(super macgyver @ Feb 23 2006, 12:55 PM) No reply from them yet...maybe they not interested to do oversea business kua.Found another one...now waiting for their reply la... Not many species that they carry lar...sigh Imperators seems to be popular and everyone has them...AFS are quite pricey in US lor...more pricey than the imperators too. Imps go for USD 7 while the AFS is going for USD 14 BTW...Pandinus species are cool...P.cavimanus is a bit redish...looks like imperator too Better get the tank ready first... Wanna ask...anyoneof u guys bought the scorps online before ??? I scared the KASTAM will with hold them for quarantine or for coffee invitation. Since this is a scary lil thing, it may freak those that handle it during transit...#1 fear is still our local KASTAM. Bad experience la. They always ask for something or they will hold until pet dies This post has been edited by Balthasar: Feb 24 2006, 03:37 PM |

This cannot do la. Unless u go to US to collect them urself. It is best to declare ur cargo or items or else its considered smuggling and thats bad. U may end up in jail instead of just loosin ur pets.
Hope this guy is willing to sell out of the US la. Got minimum price for the items wan wor...USD200 or issit 2k , i forgot...either or, the prices is very high...didn't kira the freight and tax yet... |

QUOTE(tele_mobile @ Feb 27 2006, 02:05 PM) Read this and see...http://www.ub.ntnu.no/scorpion-files/h_arizonensis.php Actually I'm considering that too...since H.troglodytes tail is so skinny and transfering it to a tank or container during maintenance can be a problem...scared the tail drop off... |

QUOTE(k3v1n @ Feb 28 2006, 10:44 AM) ooh..bringing other species ah...quite interested...the price is without postage cost right? postage will cost how much? Erm...technically since I'm buying them, the price they charging me is USD 19.90 for 6 pcs of scorps or spider. 3 slots taken, 2 by me and 1 by tele_mobile. So theres three slots left. So the USD 19.90 price will be shared by the number of people joining.Frankly, this is my first time doing this, so i think i will open a thread in the WTS thread hahaha...want to share that is...first time to see if this e-commerce thingy woks for scorps or not. The guy no give me the price for the critters though...they do offer a agent pricing but u guys will need to compile orders for above USD200 and shipping, depends on the size... |

QUOTE(tele_mobile @ Feb 28 2006, 06:23 PM) As far as i know, the arachnic that some ppl import doesnt go through kastam. direct parcel from oversea to your house. I might be wrong Well if that is it, it is ok lar, but i scared it is so lucky it caught the KDRM's eyes. Then maybe they may take a few for themselves. I'm currentlt busy coming up with a customized tank design, 2ft long and 1.5ft high and depth too. I dun want them to squat in the container. So ur order confrim tat u want that desert hairy ar ? No other sp that u looking for ? Androctonus or Leiurus ???Will post the last confirmation date later. Now have to solve my other stuff like the "MOM" factor EDIT : Er...minor problem cropped out. Just checked my mail after posting this thread above and got a shock to see the USD 19.90 is for shipping in the US ONLY!. It is not stated in his web. Order going out of the country is 50.00 shipping. Sorry, i didn't know that so i ask them to confirm lor...they really confirm alright. Well anyway, I'll be going to see KDRM tomorrow and will ask them for the needed procedures. Dun wanna see u guys and me in the Berita Terkini news session.
