hi there.. heres wat i did.. some pictures too.... my female gave birth last october now the slings are 4th instars, the pictures will guoide you through the stages..

First instar they will still be on the mums back, she may/maynot eat. she may jus kill preys and jus leave them there, a way to protect the youngs from ANY LIVING THINGS..

link to the video:-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQy9Ek0MemY

heres how they will look at 2nd instar (still on mums back)

user posted image

after they get a lil darker, they will start wondering ard and findin hides (still near to the mum or the mum will still stay near them, at this stage , they will feed on preys (adult crix, mealworms) my female usually chew the head off and then dump the rest under the hide where all teh babies are for them to feed, this last quite a while around close to ard 1 month if im not wrong untill they moult to 3rd instar, which then they can feed on head crushed mealworms..

2nd instars...

after which they will mount into 3rd instar which they will turn dark, no longer dark yellowish with cute red claws hhe.. this time i sperate them and keep them in group of 3s or 5s..

i kept them communel again at 4th instar, because ive sold most of the siblings and im keeping these 9 of them... as my own hehehe

user posted image

and of course now one of them is 5th instar smile.gif

to prevent cannabalisation at any point, jus make sure they r well fat at all time, temp ard 80-85F, humidity HIGH! mealworms for them to eat AT ALL TIMES! untill 4th instar their diet has been meal worms, ive kept them that way and raise 28 scorplings till 4th instar before selling most away without any signs or cannabalisation even when smaller scorplings moult.. hope it workd for you too smile.gif
