That will depend on a lot of things Kar. Different species have different growth rates etc. But mainly I'd like to think that depends on how much and how often we feed the scorplings. The faster they grow, the more moults you will see. As scorplings mature into subadulthood, the moults will be spaced further and further appart. My AFS scorpling moulted quite often(every 3-5 weeks) when I first got them, but that has changed alot now..some are passed over 5th instar.

Power feeding is an alternative considered by many to speed up the growth rate for their pets. But power feeding will lead to other complications such as internal organ failure due to overload and it may also reduce the overall lifespan of the invertebrate. I used to power feed my AFS in the beginning too, getting excited waiting for the next moult. LOLz. Rather watch them grow at their own pace now tho.

Tityus asthenes ?
MAHAL lor

Molting process depends on the species and also the environment...the warmer it is, the faster it will molt

Went ahead with Op Scorched Earth this afternoon. Will know the end result after a couple of days.

Btw, I've tried to minimise the risk of the poison getting to the other pets I keep. Moved the enclosures to safer grounds. Any other hints on reducing collateral damages?

Nice close up of the Mucronatus, Andrew. Would you mind sharing some basics on humidity and setup? How tall is your vertical bark?
