The slower ground-dwelling ones that don't pack enough venom to kill you would be good. LOL!!!

I have only African Emps and Asian Forest Scorpions. They're nice enough for people like me. Not so adventurous yet..

Halo taikor... smile.gif
Din know u drop by to see our not so happening thread lar... biggrin.gif

Yar...emps are great to start with but by my experience...i'd say get the local big Heterometrus longimanus. They tend to be less cannibalistic in nature compared to even the emps...I've not lost any of my babies to cannibalism as did my emps...I'll be planning for some rare Pandinus and hopefully get to breed them... laugh.gif

And to the other bro that said he is a T keeper...erm...Ts and scorps are different in behaviour...I find Ts to be hardier compared to scorpions...i've lost countless of scorplings but only 1 baby T only...and barkscorpions...u dun wanna mess with them...spiders run but they will stop for a lil while...scorps run forever...and barkscorpions are damn fast and not to mention agile...worst part is that they dun warn u before they strike.

I'd go with Balthasar's advice. He's got loads of experience when it comes to the order Scorpiones. Heterometrus do pretty well even when given minimal attention. The Longimanus is also my first scorpion, and I've enjoyed keeping them since day one!

An AFS scorpling can come as cheap as RM3 and above. An AES, however is more costly due to 'certain' factors..ranging from RM40 and above. Both these species display different temperaments and tolerances. Physical features like fatter pedipalps makes AES look sweet! If you can Allan, get an adult/subadult, mortality is significantly reduced as they are more tolerable to variation in humidity and other external pressures.

For me, I enjoy watching my pets grow, hence am willing to risk taking babies. Watching them grow with every moult brings alot of joy. LOL!

I'm trying to arrange an import (YES LEGALLY) from Germany...not cheap but they have a lot of rare prizes if u know how to appreciate them...problem is that have to pay in EURO... blink.gif
So if u guys fancy some pricey stuff...let me know so we can work something out to reduce the shipping cost

I think emps are a lil more fierce than afs right? When i bought my afs back then, i actually wanted to buy emp cuz its said to be more tame or at least not as vicious. When I went there, the person demonstrated to me that emps are more likely to strike than afs so i ended up with an afs.
