that scorps, it's body full with soil..
very dirty..
anyone can suggest me..
how to remove that dirty..?
need to brush it?

Erm cleaning a spinifer ? easy only la...they are very hygiene concious bugs i must say. If u observe them, they like to keep themself clean. Just add a deep water dish with a generous amount of water and the lil guy will bathe himself till they actually shine...serious...

My Leiurus quinquestriatus juz molted, looks like 7th instar lor...nice color...lol
P.transvaalicus going to 7th instar

They are not as dumb as insects though.
Juz add a small rock or some gravel in the dish then if u r still worried. At tat size, i dun think it will ever drown unless it wants to commit suicide lor laugh.gif

Just keep ur setup simple and convenient...dun overdo it or it could turn hazardous to ur scorp.

Oh yar, the pix of ur scorp is a H.paucidens as mentioned by shadowcastor...

Must really love the tail of the Androctonus mauritanicus. So i have taken the liberty to post a bigger pix of my lil gal's beautiful tail....
Really gorgeous...i feel tat it looks bigger compared size to size to an australis' tail...

Forgot the price dy, shud be around 60-80 ringgit.Bought 5 but left 2 only...she was with me since she was bout 1cm long only. Now oso not that big...7th instar only, 1 more moult before she is a young lady lor laugh.gif
Androctonus mauritanicus dun grow that big in size but their tail is very impressive.

hei i think it looksmore like a H longimanus . and a male speciment i don think its a spinifer at all you mid sending me a email of a top view pic to scorpfanatic@yahoo.com? if its a longimanus its will easily worth few times more then jus a spinifer.

actually im already pretty sure by the ration of teh lenght of teh claws to the body accoring the Heterometrus papers i jus need to comfirm that ist male ( because only males have longer claws in h longimanus. and also teh gradualtion on teh head. need a clean close up pic of teh head.

h longimanus is native in malaysia. and its kindly hared to find in teh hobby, not common. and i persona;;ly is finding them. that y i wana help you find out if it indeed is and where was it caught smile.gif

if you comepare to rteh photo you took form goole it already so look alike.

do you have any documents/info/links on how to differentiate heterometrus species? because they all virtually look the same to me, except for some minor details. appreciate it, thanks.
